How long did it take you (From the day you decided to gun for this achievement)?
The last couple took about 100 hours. ><
A friend and I had decided to grind out 50 for the Albino Drake in the last few weeks before Wrath; Did low level quests to get Exalted with a few home cities (they're both Pre-BC characters so they were only Honored/Revered), Shatari, Kurenai, and Netherwing. That + ZA bears + Alliance Gryphons + a few PvP mounts was 50.
Since then, I'd just picked up mounts here and there without really thinking about them. Exodar & Gnomer mounts once I hit exalted with them, Oracles drake, what can I buy with stone keepers shards? Oh, mammoth! Etc. I flat out refused to buy any of the "expensive" mounts though, like the original Hyppogryph or the Wyrmrest drake, mainly because I'm a hypocrite and didn't consider the pile of money I'd already spent. (I needed the motorcycle though. We've had countless hours of motorcycle gang fun)
Around the mid-80's I finally realized that it wasn't out of reach; Argent Hyppogryph+5 champion's seal mounts (I forgot that 2000g btw), the expensive purchasable ones, I fail at rolling so the Bronze Drake, so I was left with 5:
1 last PvP mount - needed like 50 various tokens; hours and hours of yelling at people in BG chat to just fight on the fucking flag. (they still wont) I picked up some achievements, so meh.
2 Halaa mounts - Luckily Halaa was pretty active on Dark Iron and I had the Battle Tokens stashed away from level 70. Grinding out hundreds of dust over 8ish hours was the opposite of fun.
Oh Wintersaber, I'm so glad I have you. 25 hours of the same 2 quests. You can do the 3rd, but it slows you down, whee.
They put together a 3d10 for the last one last night, um.... The zerg "strat" is still complete bullshit but gg... 100
You sir, make me absolutely green with envy. From one mount whore to another, I salute you!
I just bought that Dalaran ring (and the upgraded form) the day before yesterday, and so I finally started on my mount collection yesterday. Got to 40 mounts, and then saw Blizzard's post about the upcoming mount changes. This has surprisingly killed my interest in collecting the other mounts as well as leveling alts until this is released.
Though I suppose I can still buy mounts that probably won't be getting reduced in price (ie. Most Northrend ones, and probably the Cenarion Hippogryf).
I'm still going to grind out the other 5 (100 seal) Argent Tournament mounts, I'm a few Achievements away from a Violet Proto on 2 toons, at some point I'll get the damn Twilight Drake even if I have to pay for it (the /roll command can go straight to hell).
And someday....
Someday....
I will figure out how to create a #$%ing Polar Bear out of cheese, mountain water and snowballs.
I would suggest at the very least getting your ducks in a row to make sure everyone is on board for that transition. Have the replacement guild set up (via alts as needed) before the inevitable disbandment. The easier it is to have the good people move over as smoothly as possible.
Also, make sure you keep communication open, don't want to end up being a one man show when the whole thing comes crashing down.
Oh, I'm not recommending he assume the guild leader position. Revolutionaries tend to be a very mixed lot when it comes to actually leading non-revolutionaries. It also sounds like there may be competent officers in place. So either it works as it is, or it fails in a way that makes for a great story. And really, how many people get to put "Lead a Marxist Revolution" on their resumes?
Hate: Nostalgia. This is usual when experiencing nostalgia, but despite all rationality and reasoning, I still can't shake the feeling that BC was nebulously better. I know that it wasn't better in many cases, but that doesn't make me feel better.
It doesn't help that the outlandishness of Outland's design appeals to me a lot more than that of the Old World and Northrend.
ssc aside, the raids were pretty good looking too.
Loved TK, A'lar will always be my favorite fight. I think i liked it more than everyone else because i was a tank and the tank switching just has this... finesse to it.
BT was great too, Council always had this feeling that we were on the edge of chaos.
Sunwell with the fight with the dragon and brutuallus and then the wall of ice shattered wooo i'm tossed back now.
In raids that is- the zones are distinct and a step up from BC, but that could be because they are still new. WotLK has the ability to make leveling in the same zone for 3-4 levels not terribly boring, each zone has distinct sub zones that you progress through. Phasing increases the effect.
BUT I remember when I first got to Blades Edge and I saw the black dragons impaled on the spikes. pretty awesome.
Hate: Potion alchemy. 102 speed potions from mats for 95. At this rate, I'd just make them myself as an elixir spec, except I haven't learned it yet from Alchemy research.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Actually playing is better in Wrath, (At least from a leveling stand point- I only ever raided Kara, and not even every boss) but I still get this ridiculous feeling that BC was better somehow, and all because of nostalgia.

End game wise? Sure, the heroics were exponentially better, and kara was better than new Naxx.
Leveling wise? God no. A few of the zones were really cool, though. Hellfire and Nagrand, particularly.
Man Wrath is better than Burning Crusade in virtually every way I can think of. From the QoL/leveling standpoint it isn't even close; better zones, better quests, better pvp stuff, etc. Raiding is hugely better, and the only reason this isn't obvious is because Naxx was a retread of a pre-BC instance. Every raid they've designed fresh for Wrath has kicked the shit out of BC raids.
The only thing I wasn't entirely happy with was heroics; it would've been nice to have a challenging instance or two, a la pre-nerf slabs/shattered halls/arca. But the dungeon achievements seem to have filled this hole reasonably well.

it was the smallest on the list but

Edit: One of the restro shammies logged and we brought in our regular priest, so we had Pain Suppression, and at that point it was our usual group minus the mage, and we dropped him no problem that time.
Seething hate: Motherfucking Vezax... we wipe on him with only 20,000 hp left. WHY!? Our MT died at 5% and we got him down to to almost dead. It was just me and a holy paladin, who was OOM, left. I popped by bubble and whacked away, but it just wasn't enough.
edit: Kicked his ass properly the second time. Joy!
Holy crap, can we have like one night where we have enough tanks with stable internet connections? Warrior? Disconnects every 3 minutes. DK? Disconnects every 3 minutes. Bear? In China for another few weeks and has 18 billion latency and 6 fps on a laptop. Oh, and disconnects every 3 minutes.
At least we have the Paladin. Too bad we need the DK's cooldowns right now. (Hard mode Vezax, no kiting)
Well, idk. Our 10 man kited him since we used a Pally tank, theirs used a DK and they didn't. Shit.
A more of an annoyince than a hate
Since the last patch the in game clock is losing time it started with about negtive 2 minutes from the real time now it's about 5 minutes

new raid: The Caverns of Time now is home to the Time Thieves

Kara was horrible on first release; those elite mobs that would iceblock the tanks, then happily run around and kill the raid, or the stupid amount of trash from the Curator to Shade (the Shade was pretty hard himself on release, in addition to the fact that the gy walk after a wipe was long, and the trash was linked to him so learning the fight was a complete pain in the ass).
Kara got better as time went on, but it was a mess at the start.
Heroics were exponentially better? That depended entirely on what classes you had in the group.
What will they think of next? They gonna nerf all the dungeons so you can solo everything in the game?
Challenge, dedication and reward still mean something to some of us, Blizzard....
This is almost left wing...

"This is almost left wing", what does that mean? Damn librul Blizz and their Socialist Mount Giveaway Program? Before you notice it, they're gonna take away our iLvl 219 epics.
Hate: White fucking tickbird, man an oracle camp gonna get slaughtered soon...
Hope: 25 yogg kill tonight. Should be 100% easier since they nerfed it from what i hear. Just need people to smarten the hell up. Remember the old golden rule of wow, Green Gas = BAD.

P1 is not even hard any more, the entire randomness is gone. It used to be that you could do a perfect p1, but someone getting MC'd, then it ending or being dispelled while in the middle of a cloud of gas would cause a wipe anyway. Now that doesn't happen.
Happy: Ran 25 man Naxx for the first time and got a few upgrades. I ran 10man once but we never did Sapph or KT, and I thought I was going to have to leave before we got to them, so I didn't really read up on the fights, and I was totally flying blind. Did fine on Sapph, but died in a void zone on KT
Haha: Forgot about frogger and died while on auto-run looking at loot
Happy: Made a little 10 man guild with a bunch of my RL friends and some online friends I've been playing with for ages 3 weeks ago. We did some Naxx 10's and started off with 3 hour clears. Tonight we made our first trip into Ulduar and we cleared all the bosses up to the 4 watchers or whatever you want to call em with only a few whipes. I'm pretty ecstatic. Also, tried Thorim a couple times before calling it a night, that fight is awesome

its not that impressive. about 10 seconds of chaos, tops, which, if you have an unholy DK or paladin tank, isn't really chaos at all

It's more entertaining than normal Gothik though!

And congrast Ishtaar, that's a hell of a grind.
The greatest thing ever was unleashing my Holy Nova wrath on those little bastards and getting Frenzyheart exalted. Stupid big tongues.
Now to get some sort of jar thing from the puppymen.
Happy: As I am the only Hunter and we don't have any Enhancement Shaman, I'm gonna be getting all physical DPS mail that I want for minimum bid.

Amused: We were able to get to P4 with only 1 cooldown when people's computers stopped restarting after the pull >.<
Sad: Took us fucking 2 hours to down Mim, but only 5 attempts because no people to fill spots and lots of sitting around wtfwannastabpeopleargggggg
Hope: One-shot general and a few decent attempts at Yogg
