Oh also, I don't remember who mentioned it in the last thread, but finally saw Brotherhood of the Wolf. Whoever talked up the ninja nun was sorely misleading, but it was still a fun as hell movie.
Actually I've been watching a ton of movies lately. Saw almost everything on one of the lists PI put out in the last big thread we had, including Yojimbo, which was absolutely excellent and has me really excited to see Seven Samurai.
Still want to check out the Twin Jakes though, after seeing Chinatown a couple of weeks back. Unfortunately, no one seems to have it. I might have to end up getting that netflix account after all for some of these harder to find movies.

Realize that my computer says the movie is 3 and a half hours long
somehow in everything i'd heard about the movie, no one ever mentioned it being so long
it's not really a bad thing, i just didn't have the time to commit and haven't in the 4 days since I borrowed it
my friend is starting to ask about it. stupid legendary movie and your long runtime and my horrible schedule.

the social stigma that's apparently attached to seeing movies alone is ridiculous
it's as bad as restaurants. dude can't just go eat a good meal by himself and maybe read a book without being some creepy weirdo. it's dumb as hell.
but that's because if someone doesn't invite me out to see it in the theater i'm content to wait and netflix it
