Go Tauren. Not a lot of class-choices but what's available is quite good. Plus they have probably the best capital city Horde-side in my opinion.

If you want to go Tauren that's fine, but be prepared to go somewhere else for your newbie leveling. Mulgore is the fucking seventh layer of hell, I swear to god.

It's even worse when you're doing the quests there with no way to increase movement speed. The best horde starting area is still the belf one, I maintain. It's not going to have any gear for druids, but I'd take an easy xp path over lowbie gear.

I just checked out the new druid form models on the PTR. I really like the new Tauren cat, but I'm a bit unsure on the bear. I mean it is a step up, but it rubs it chest on the ground all the time, and man does it have a fat ass that covers the rest of the model.

If I roll there, I'm definitely not going to roll a druid. I have an 80 druid on Dark Iron, and I want a different char.

    "Harry is specced arcane".

Also, getting my little brother to grant me 30 free levels on my mage alt made trying to quest at 40 (I was already 10 when he granted me them) difficult because my gear was balls and I've never played a mage before and it is quite different from a warlock.

I found the problem with granting a ton of levels to another character to be more the lack of defense skill than lack of gear.

My mage was getting crit/crushed like you would not believe when I first stepped foot in Outland.

    Hmm. Maybe a Paladin...

Or a DK, or do you have to have the 55 on the server (as opposed to having a 55 anywhere)?

Mage is out. Lock is out. Druid is out. Maybe a Shaman.

Belf rogue quest rewards = tauren drood quest rewards.

And the druid trainer is probably the most conveniently located one in Silvermoon.

Which brings us back to the Tauren as Tauren Shamans rule above all others. And yes, last time I checked, you can have a DK on any server as long as you got at least one Lv55+ character somewhere.

I put my mage aside for a while, while I focus on getting my shaman to 80. I've played him a little, and doing it kinda slowly because at 1st I couldn't afford to even get him geared in greens so I could barely kill 1 dude with my mana and health pool. It's also kinda expensive to buy 30 levels of spells teleports and portals, riding and a mount in one block.

Also, my mage is human, and humans just look dumb. I fear that if/when I'm able to transfer my lock over to alliance he'll be made human and will look terribly stupid.

if you know how to do the quests in proper succession, there's no problems with running all over the place
now durotar...god don't even get me started, it's just such a fucking bland area. at least thunder bluff breaks up the monotony of yellows reds and oranges by throwing a little lush green in there.
you go from red rocks in durotar to yellowy rocks in barrens, to red rocks in stone talon or 1k needles.
an entire 30 levels of fucking rocks.

my alien shaman looks cool. I suppose night elves look alright too. From there I'd say that Dwarves are at least more interesting looking than Humans (who look dumb, and by dumb I mean mentally retarded). fuck gnomes in their creepy little fingers and eyes. Creepy ass gnomes need to be switched out with some glowing fairy race.
