Servers


How to add a server:
Before you start TF2, right click Steam in your toolbar and click on Servers. Go to the Favorites tab, click Add a Server, and type in the IP. Next time you launch TF2, go to the Favorites tab and select one of the servers that has people in it, type in the password (wang), and you should be good to go. Also make sure "Show map list" is unchecked in the bottom left. It makes finding servers stupid as hell.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is no real PA TF2 Steam Group. The HoNC has a Honc Night group that occasionally announces a custom map night, but that's about it. To get involved and meet people post here and add the servers to your favorites and hop on.

Someone needs to make a mod where each team is randomly made all one class. Make it random for fairness, as fair as can be when spy vs pyro shows up at least

Playing with your left hand (when you're right handed) is fucking tough. Stupid cast.

That all demo round was hilarious tho. All the Demo "Mating Calls" before the round began were great, and lighting like 8 demos on fire at once will never get old.

Someone wrote a mod for Highlander (enforces 1 of each class), I'm sure it wouldn't be tough to modify it for such nefarious purposes.

I quite enjoy facing pyros when I'm trapped, charging them with my ubersaw and killing them dead.

At least until I burn to death. That's less enjoyable.

My personal favorite is blutsaugering a pyro as they try bee-lining straight for me.

An intriguing prospect, but I get mistaken as a Spy by my own team on a regular basis. Actually playing Spy will probably cause some sort of vortex of mistrust so deep that I collapse into a singularity.

That is John Freeman.

And check on FPSBanana, there's an airshot map on there, but its not really meant for rj practice. But they have jump maps for soldiers too so.

You have to go back a bit and talk to the combine soldier that tried to toll you. You have to try the intimidating chat option, fight/kill him, and get the floodgate key. That makes the river just thin enough to teleport across.

(This makes me sad because I know it'll never happen.)

You need to get up to sentry level 3, and return to the Badlands merchant (the starting city). He sells a device that lets you disable friendly fire detection.

Do this, and stand in front of your sentry (keep health packs ready!). The knockback will get you across the river.

I picked up the Best of Class map from there to practise rocketjumping a bit, I'll see if I can grab an airshot map.
