    Part of me wishes he was staying in room 2B. But then I remember that is existential humor and quash that idea.

    I was confused at first...I thought Carl was on a stakeout, standing watch outside someone's hotel room, til I realized that he reached for the knob to enter his OWN room...where he proceeds to stand in one spot until its time to fight crime once more.

    some words are more susceptible than others, and keep strikes me as one of them

    probably because it is a pretty weird word to begin with, starting with a k double vowel and all

    I love this series.

    But why does Carls busted arm change sides?

    Panel 1&2, right arm is the busted one.
    Panel 3, the left arm is the smashed one.
    Panel 4, the right arm is oce again the broken one.

    I thought maybe we were seeing him in a mirror in an apartment across the alley, but the 'E' in MOTEL is around the right way on the sign.

    Carl realized when he got into his room that his "spare" arm was just his left arm. He swapped it but wasn't happy so he swapped it back.

    I just assumed his "spare" was his left arm, and shortly afterwords he decided he'd rather have it on the left than the right.

    Gabe'll make typographical errors most often, but this is usually because Tycho's script contained it prior.

    The left arm isn't smashed in panel three. It's just some rain bits and his shoulders being low that makes it look that way.

    Also the detail and lighting that Gabe uses for the shoulder bits.
