    The vampire thing is the counterpoint to the main idea of the comic, where the argument is that the interim of time between the release of a feature and its eventual depreciation is not insignificant and therefore, Blizzard is somewhat justified in this action.

    To extrapolate, several accepted examples of this have happened, even in the video game industry, where retail product pricing was slashed after the initial rush. I don't see people waiting in line just to get a reserve ticket for a PS3, but it was a really big deal when it was released. Times change. Many people are willing to pay extra to receive and use the product immediately, and people who wait later for a bargain do pay a price of time rather than money, which brings me back on topic to say that a lot of things can happen while you wait for that price cut, which could entice some of you into enduring the initial consumer rape, and feel benefited in the bargain, at least until the slash.



    Or it's just a non-sequitur.
