Man, I've never even SEEN a 40k army, but good lord I love the backstory and art to this stuff. I've read everything I can get my hands on in this universe, and I'm currently playing Fire Warrior again. As bad as it was, I can't get enough

My dad is a damn cheater and Space Marines is dicks
Space Marines RULE!
Also, past threads got me really interested into the background of the Warhammer 40K universe, so I've recently read the first 3 books of The Horus Heresy.
The Horus Heresy books have really surprised me by not being written like ass. Especially Flight of the Eisenstein. That book was aces.
That's next on the list for me, cool. So far, I've liked the first book best.
How far into the series have you read?
read everything Abnett has written
I will try after I get through this series.
Read the Ravenor trilogy especially
Oh and basically every single Gaunt's Ghosts book, try to start at the beginning but they're pretty self-contained
The Eisenhorn books are also pretty great.
I've read the Entire Heresy series upto Mechanicum, they're all decent - good.
Also just realised i've been confusing Abnett with Ben Counter and attributing the Souldrinker shit to Abnett, balls.
The inquistion was but it depends on the army/player
The Tau is up there since people try to power game them
Imperial guard all inf army was a bad idea before the new codex
In all it depends on the dice, player, army, and so many other random factors

how many rivets
is it 439?
VASAL. The WH40k module got a C&D, although I'm sure it's still floating around somewhere.
That was it
Here is a guide to getting VASSAL running.
Close, 443.
That's close enough to be a psychic
or a stalker
Or I'm really bad at counting/keeping my blinds closed at night.
Guard are clearly the best
Necromunda looks really neat though, no idea if anyone plays that anymore though.
I actually really liked it
get the fuck out
I will play with you pony.
That game is rad as hell.
I have orcs and dwarfs!

I think that makes me a heretic. Ironic, since I favor the Witchhunters.
you are awful beyond belief
"whssssssssssssssssh JAPAN"
It's better than II.
also hey pip I'm doing my LCB application right now
give me tips for what to write about in the motivation letter
alternatively, insult me and tell me I shouldn't go
which one?
also I don't even remember what I wrote in my application
basically if you have the money you will get in, but if you do not have the drive, passion and dedication you will bomb out and want to die
also your a gay 8-)
tell me about how rough it is, I'm doing the basic cuisine course
is it the roughest thing in the world
however, the basic course is not at all difficult, but the kitchens are fucking tiny and hot and awful there
The inquistion was but it depends on the army/player
The Tau is up there since people try to power game them
Imperial guard all inf army was a bad idea before the new codex
In all it depends on the dice, player, army, and so many other random factors
what I'm worried about is that during the demonstration courses there's a translator but during the hands-on part no such luck
I can perfectly imagine some tiny French woman yelling at me in French while I weakly protest that I don't know what she's saying
because that is laughable
also guard were not weak at all, the codex just made them way more boss
I thought they had translators in the hands on for the basic courses as well
also, if it's anything like the american courses, the angry chef yelling at you is a thing of the past
every single one of my instructors was as helpful as could be, and was more than willing to help out any student that needed it
only for the demonstrations, apparently
I'm going to try to pick up some French before/while I'm there though so hopefully I'll at least be able to communicate
any other tips?
they don't really work like that anymore
Which is funny, because they're basically invincible in the lore.
:?:
buy potatoes and practice the knife cuts
then practice them more
then do it again
when your fingers bleed from holding potatoes too much, practice more
the blood helps you
uh, don't they get feel no pain in 5th instead of WBB
