Big BIG news – PAX has announced a major Magic after-hours party on Saturday night! This is turning out to be *the* PAX party not to be missed.
Here are the details that we dug up: On Saturday, September 5th from 7-9PM, hundreds of chosen players will behold “The Sights of Zendikar” at Trinity Nightclub in downtown Seattle. You’ll see a ton of exclusive Magic spoiler cards and new art from the upcoming set, as well as preview the new Duels of the Planeswalkers DLC. An interactive puzzle will test wits with one big prize giveaway for the savvy winner, plus several smaller door prizes for everyone. Free food and drinks will be served while guests mingle with some of the artists and R&D members. Can it get any better than that?!
Here’s the catch: not everyone can attend. In order to get invited to the party, you’ll need to overcome the challenges of five distinct planes located throughout the PAX convention center. When/if you successfully solve the puzzles for each of the five stations, you’ll earn the right to attend this way-out sneak preview of Magic goodness. For more information, email zendikarparty@starfish-events.com or visit the Wizards booth onsite.
We can hardly contain our excitement! See you at PAX!
Despite not having played magic at all in 5+years or seriously in about 10 years, I would be excited about this - except it's not after hours. It's in fact smack dab in the middle of my favorite part of PAX. =(

I wouldn't call 7-9pm "afterhours" considering that pax runs until 2am
I wonder... I've always wanted to meet the guy/gal who designed the Nephilim set of cards. I'm a personal fan of that often-underestimated sequence in the Ravnica block. Are designers going to be there?
I was totally thinking magic-tricks magic until I actually started reading the OP in detail. Of course if people are doing magic tricks with Magic cards... I'll totally be there. XD

How about a trick? I'm gonna make this Magic card....dissapear!
I wonder if the guy who designed the Ink-Treader Nephilim would be there. I have had a long standing Magic crush on that card, and I think I'd definitely get it signed if I ever met the designer and/or artist.
The last time I played Magic was about 15 years ago or something. I can't remember exactly, I was in elementary school and I'm 26 now. So, it's been a long time. I think I'd be more interested in doing something else. Have fun, those who are going.

PAX closes at 3 :P
I'm so conflicted.
Not enough to miss JoCo and Freezepop (good point Reflection
Like Vader says, "There is no conflict."
Bonus bullet point:
There's a good chance that by "drinks" they don't mean "juice and soda-pop".

On the website it says at the bottom Must be 21 to attend so these are definitely gonna be fun "drinks" =D
