I think if you can make it work for you, great -- it's just that good jobs for humanities majors are harder to get, not that they're impossible. Even the philosophers.
I think Roderick T. Long must be one of the happiest people on earth. Also Liz Harmon. If you can get a job like that (and it's a big if) you're doing extremely well.
