Pfft, if you need to live by some standards then you're just a boy playing in daddies clothes. A man is a man, he is because he is. Trying to define what a man is is completely missing the point.

Yep, and usually I have an eating utensil in each hand, resting both fists on a table.

I don't know that I agree with this viewpoint. I would say it's entirely admirable to take steps to better yourself as a person (in this case, a person that is also a man). I certainly disagree with "a man is a man because he is a man." This makes it sound like a male human being can do whatever the hell he wants because fuck off, I'm a MAN and that's what MEN do. But there are plenty of things a guy can do, such as pick on those weaker than him, or steal, or generally be disrespectful, that are not in any way "manly."

Okay? I will agree that optimism, tempered with preparedness, are good qualities in a man. But that isn't really a response to what I was trying to say.

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.

    Being a man is simple.

You look after the people around you and you take responsibility and pride for your own shit.

American Haircuts in Atlanta is pretty good. Get a straight blade hot towel neck shave out of the deal and a complimentary drink. Around $25 or so. I had a place like that back in MI as well, so it seems to be a common phenomenon which I support.
