haha i don't know, maybe i'm starting to get a perverse pleasure out of the sheer bizarre badness of this comic, but i rather liked Cry for Justice #3. More pointless death, of course.
it is revealed that Prometheus has killed most of the Global Guardians

So it's like that Fallout Boy music video only in comic form?
This was the first thing I thought of when I saw it
But no not at all
Years ago large chunks of the population were wiped out by a still mysterious pandemic, and now animal/human hybrid children are being born who are apparently immune to it (We haven't found that out in the story yet but it's in Lemire's column in On The Ledge)
This is the story of a deer/boy who is going to be taken to "the reserve" where a bunch of these kids live but yeah nothing is ever as it seems
And it's well written and touching in parts and it makes the violence really disturbing

My moment of the week was Exiles. Well, I guess, two moments at a minimum, but I loved the whole issue. So sad it's cancelled.
I liked when the team pit Emma and Jean against eachother, and it was enough to destabilize the world. I loved the chaos, and the re-do of the scene from New X-Men where Jean discovers Emma and Scott makin' out in the mind-scape.
I also loved the introduction of the old exiles, and revealing all the secrets that he would have eventually used. Ugh, it was so good.

Well, that's some bullshit.
I always felt like those characters, and that team, were ripe for a revival. Throw in some old JLI members and bam, instant globetrotting superteam.

Have you ever wondered "Man, if only a robot had some bitchin' 90's extreme gadgets on him, it would be better than a million Jim Lee Cyclops outfits?"
I didn't get Titans BN last week but I decided I'm enjoying this series too much to skip it, so I picked it up and am glad I did. I enjoyed it quite a bit... except for one thing.
Dove's eye-mask is stupid as hell. I hate every panel with her face in it. Goddamn she looks like a retard.
Oh yeah I don't know if this should be considered a MotW but the new ad for Ultimate Armor Wars I saw in UCSM was fantastic. It was a picture of what looked like a giant version of Tony's Mark I armor but just looked gorgeous. I really hope the interiors will look that good.

Well, Agents of Atlas #11 has you covered!:
Nothing is better than a Jim Lee Cyclops outfit, but that IS a cool robot.

I wish Jim Lee wasn't in bed with DC. He's not doing anything cool for them anyway. I'd love to see him do a modern redesign of the X-Men.
I'd forgotten that Strange Tales #1 (better known as the Marvel Indie Anthology) was in stores today. Seeing that on the shelf, and then reading Paul Pope's awesome Inhumans story, made my day.
I'll post some pages later, but the whole book is pretty much fantastic, with a huge wealth of talent from the independent comic scene pitching in, such as Nicholas Gurewitch (The Perry Bible Fellowship), Norwegian cartoonist Jason, James Kochalka, and Dash Shaw.
Totally worth a buy. This is one of the few books I'll probably buy in floppies, and then again in some kind of hardcover.

The Paul Pope Inhumans art was on the Beat, and that looked like fun. Lockjaw getting fed his dinner and Medusa uses her hair to open the can of food!
I didn't know Gurewitch was doing something in it.

are there any trades out for that series or is it all single issues right now?
The first trade of the current series, Secret Invasion, is out. Second trade comes out in October.

I cant wait to catch up. I havent boughten a usm book since the switch. Huge sale tomorrow at the local store so hopefully I can pick them all up.
It just started last month, you should be able to get both issues
But they are $4 each and I dont have a job. I dont have the requiem issues either.
It's both ridiculous and awesome at the same time.
I also loved the introduction of the old exiles, and revealing all the secrets that he would have eventually used. Ugh, it was so good.
I'll probably scan it later!

Who does Deadpool keep talking to in his head?
-himself in speak bubbles
-himself in yellow text boxes
-himself (his saner part) in the white boxes with courier font.

As bad as it has been so far, the Congorilla parts have been awesome. In this week's issue
Meh, just Meh. Art was overly mangaish, without being good manga. The stories where boring. (with the exeption of the X-Men crossover issue).
At least Joss Whedon was trying for something in his run.
We talk about bad things in the Bitching Thread!
Moment of the Week threads are for rainbows and unicorns and other assorted happy things!
(but I agree)
