Oh hey we're off topic. Again. And apparently for french electro? Do you guys just randomly think up two words and find some way to make the thread about that? I mean honestly.
I always envisioned Meet the Spy to be this film-noir-esque thing, yknow, black and white, low hanging lights, cigarette glow in the darkness, funky camera angles. Now that I've seen the real thing, I think I prefer what Valve did. Kinda.
That said, Meet the Pyro HAS to be a frame for frame re-enactment of the first 20 minutes of WALL-E, with the Pyro being the titular character.

Welp, I'm going out of town for a couple days tomorrow, and was kinda hoping I could do the next OP, but I'll pass since I won't be here for a few days.
Somebody should get one ready though, this will hit 100 by afternoon tomorrow easily.
you know I think the Dead Ringer is going to make for some hilarious Arena fights. I'm imagining someone actually killing the spy, still slashing the air for him, and getting killed by someone else.
Yes and from what I remember, just because something has a high resistivity, doesn't make it completely immune from conducting electricity, you just have to hit it with enough juice to make it carry the charge.
Also rv is right, the amount of juice recquired for wood, would more than likely just make it ignite.
My thinking is that they probably took the shield and ran wires underneath the surface of the wood where you can't see it. This would explain both why you can stab it and get electrocuted and why a single knife stab will shatter the entire thing, since putting in the wiring would probably have weakened its structural integrity.
Or, y'know, it's a video game and doesn't need to make sense.
Everything is conductive given enough energy. At some point, the electric field alone is enough to ionize the atoms, at which point it conducts electricity. I mean, air is a pretty good [strike]conductor[/strike] resistor, and yet we have lightning.
This would probably be short-lived, however, as the wood would burst into flames.
"urr, I dunno, maaybe because they have a fucking base set up in the right tunnel and they keep coming out and kicking our asses. Oh no, ignore it, maybe they'll go away. I'm only one guy, it's not like I need any help."

edited for stupid.
I meant more like the "pumping juice" part (which makes no sense)

THE SPY IS FRENCH.
Duh!

Stop blabbering on about...
Thumbprint
Witchcraft!
Why? Ignis Solus is good enough, I want Valve to do something new.

I assume its for more reveal days since we get more toys now.

6. Bitch about people bitching
7. Bitch about game not being realistic
It is if you pump enough electricity into it!
that makes no sense at all
have you ever taken physics
I think that gives you fire. Which makes the knife hot, so you can't use it! OMG IT MAKES SENSE

Genius!
What an interesting observation. Do you have any substantial and objective proof to back up your claim?

You and Shady are great medics and I'm really thankful you dudes stick with me. Even if I let you die occasionally

No. No you're not.
Not really.
The Razorback is not made of wood dummy.

just checking.
