i use blood magic like all the time and so most of the time i am eating my opponent's blood as i am killing them
does the chalice still fill if my primary attack is blood strike?

it just fills as you kill people, no matter how you kill them and even if they're things that you can't feed on
every few kills equates to one blood point
feeding from it is instant and like feeding normally, so if you get it to the max of 10 blood points stored and fight until you're at a sliver of health and no blood left, just hit i, use it and bam, full health and blood

As far as I know, yes. Also, you can get 7 ranks in stealth feat for free, Pony. The stealth book at Trip's in the very beginning of the game, buy it and use it. Repeat. Then, blood buff so your Dex shoots up to five. Also, take off your heavy armor if it lowers your Dexterity. Stealth missions shouldn't be too hard at that point.

Ok I have a really dumb question. In my character stats screen it says under experience I have 2, I can't figure out how to spend it though.
I should mention, pony, that it is really not worth it in the long run to keep humanity maxed out. Just make sure to never have more than one masquerade violation, and keep humanity at 8-10 points and you'll suffer little to no consequences.
The game rewards playing smart and finding alternate solutions, but good behavior will only reward you so far. Better to moderate your terrible deeds rather than shun them.
my previous attempts to play this game have been stymied with bugs forcing me to start over
this is the farthest i have ever gotten in the game
Okay then, that is understandable.
Never played Tremere, am strongly considering it for my next playthrough.
Right now I'm rocking a Ventrue - I've got 9 Humanity. Also got my first-ever non-Nosferatu Masquerade violation, but that was okay because then I went 100 yards to turn in a quest and got a Masquerade Redemption.
Am in the sewers right now. Am pretty much killing the baddies with my melee and then standing around to heal, so I can save blood points for as long as possible.

there's not really any reason to lose humanity either, though
anyways pony keep us updated on the choices you make, in spoilaz of course, i want to hear how things pan out
Also, their money is kinda crappy unless you can haggle your way up until either of them agrees to give you most of the cash.
On an unrelated note, I have had occasional bouts of violent urges in this game. A couple of times, I spent a few delightful minutes running back and forth downtown, hammering everybody in sight. I was attempting to see hwo low my humanity could go, but I think it stopped dropping at around 2 or 3. I'm not sure what one has to do in order to get it much lower than that.
I thought it was amusing how, regardless of the weapon, hitting women and homeless would send them flying like rag dolls.

The first round of game was purely story, which I played as Ventrue. Since then, I try to make the story itself as difficult to navigate as possible (leading to some awesome aspects to missions which don't arise elsewhere). So the looney-bin house is great because dialogue is so rough, and you can make people puke blood with your mind. Nosferatu rocks for extra sewer. My only easy class that I enjoy, really, is Brujah. Who doesn't want to just punch the ever-living fuck out of everything every so often? It's like Hulk Super Smash any time there's an iridescent gun in the left, upper-hand corner of the screen.
using that on a building full of tong is pretty hilarious
The creepy Southern Baptist Zombie guy still makes me turn on all the lights, just getting to him. Strange how you can have an entire level mapped out in your mind and know how to get from point A to point... killing the crazy guy and still be freaked out by a level.
Also, this is the first Pony-populated thread I've posted in more than once and not skated close to being infracted. Whoo.
The moment when I realized what the furnishings and walls were made of in Andrei's mansion, I became more unsettled than I'd ever been in a game. Not scared, not frightened, but unsettled.
in all honesty though, does anyone have any tips for killing tzimice as a firearms-specialty character? I would kinda like to finish off my tremere game (although brujah is fun), but I just get mauled by the handrunners every time
edit: also obfuscate let me walk through most of the sewers, so there!

Man, I was pretty freaked out just doing the first haunted mansion.
I kept playing it thinking, goddammit stop being scared.
I finished the Giovanni Mansion, got the sarcophagus, and now I am standing in LaCroix's penthouse. LaCroix and the Sherriff are there, and Beckett is standing there with the sarcophagus. I can't talk to Beckett, and if I talk to LaCroix, he does the exact same dialogue about the Blood Hunt and the Sarcophagus being stolen as before and then it kicks me out of his penthouse and I can't continue the main quest because it won't do the next part without that dialogue.
Fucking game.
Now I have to go back to an earlier save before I beat the two brother guys and hope this time things will be different.

It's a bloodpack that refills itself as you kill guys.
It fills a bit slowly, but if you're tearing up a lot of dudes it'll be stuffed in no time. Plus it's free blood so I can't complain.
or does it just fill as you kill people?

that hengeyokai that you and the demon hunter chick go after?
Pony is this the first time you've played Bloodlines? I think of you as the kind of dude who'dve already played it a few times.
no sir

i am about to go talk to Zhao
i am playing a Tremere
i did not find the sewers hard, just overly long
i guess if i didn't have blood magic it would've been a lot harder
also
i am totally rockin the light side of the force
i have Humanity 10, totally gained through quests
gonna try to maintain that as much as possible

Patty, for example.
Fuck Patty.
Brujah, Malkavian, Nosferatu. The rest are all way too easy and not enough fun.
Okay then, that is understandable.

Yeah, I'm sure losing that invisibiliy really turns the game into easy mode.
There are one or two quests that will cost you a humanity point, which can easily be made up for later, whereas all experience you acquire adds up.
but those are very rare
a high persuade can actually get you through much of the game without bloodshed
for example:
the two old chinese hitmen guys can be reconciled if you have a high enough persuasion
you don't get any money if they reconcile, but you get 6 XP, so...
If you dump all of your points into Obfuscate, I guess. But that's not very fun at all.
Persuasion is a lovely skill to have.
Also, their money is kinda crappy unless you can haggle your way up until either of them agrees to give you most of the cash.

Getting porn from VV is pretty great.
Crazy bitch.
But the Tzimsze (sp?) stuff is intense.
And then having to go to the damn place.
It's a good thing the sewers are so goddamn frustrating or else maybe I'd be creeped out in there too.
hitting a thing for 100+ damage? beautiful!

FUCKING GAME BROKEN DUE TO BUG:
Fucking game.

That is just not true. Level 4 is pretty good, with the running everywhere, and level 5 is amazing, you never have to uncloak except for plot reasons.
On the fight with
PS4:MrZoompants
I WENT BACK TO AN EARLIER SAVE
DID THE FIGHT WITH THE BROTHERS AGAIN
SAME FUCKING PROBLEM
I AM SO GOD DAMN LIVID RIGHT NOW

it is a bug other people have experienced, and there's no solution to it yet besides "start all the way over"
