Camwhore threads

Can I ask why Camwhore threads are almost always locked on sight? Theres nothing in the rules and I've never seen it explained.

    They tend to go real dumb real fast (ie harassment and whorish behaviour), so we only have one very rarely to get it out of people's systems, usually in SE++. I sometimes sanction photos in the DD chat thread, but no that does not give all'a'y'all leave to come in and post your hideous mugs.

    ... All the other reasons aside, don't CamWhore threads have to be mod sanctioned? That, and people just tend to make their own and hope for the best without asking first...
