I cannot wait for the DLC.

I am honestly such a whore for this game that anything they release that increases the level cap or similar I will buy instantly. Especially if they add omg zombies!

    Edit: PC version, obviously.

So what's up with being unable to host or join any games?

Myself and my 2 friends that I was trying to play with are unable to do jack shit online. This is after forwarding the ports suggested when searching about this problem.

That's quite a bit of bullshit.

My exact problem, and the reason why I want my godamned money back. I was looking forward to playing this with one friend in particular for months now, we both buy it day one on steam, and neither of us have been able to do ANYTHING online with the fucking game. Ports forwarded and all that bullshit, freezes whenever i try and get into the server list (which is a piece of shit all in its own right), times out when we invite one another, or anyone else for that matter. Good lord is this 1991?
    1) Create private game
    2) Invite friend, let him time out completely
    3) Exit private lobby, remake, invite, play!

Stupid, but oddly it works like a charm for me (more here).

This needs to go in the OP.

Edit: Also, so wait, in NG++ (Playthrough 3) they rename things again?

Okay, Apeshit Stunted Lunatic takes first place for names. Everyone else go home.

Edit: Its not Playthrough 3. You don't get to start over, so any quests you already completed you can't do. Its essentially playing after beating the game.

And things get a second rename as well as all enemies raised to 49-51 (or your level, I don't know, I was 50)

Playthrough 3 isnt actually a playthrough. What happens is you beat it on Playthrough 2, then you just can rejoin the same playthrough but every mob is level 50-51 instead of 34-50 like it was on the original playthrough 2, and they all have new names. SuperBad Brute, instead of Bad Mutha brute, instead of Badass Brute. You can't redo the campaign missions, but any side mission you havn't completed you can do as a level 50 variant and get level 48 loot rewards from it.

    +2 Slayer.

Made sure I was using those skills. Am, or plan to in the next level/2. Go back to buy it..... shops have new inventory!
That's the one I'm using right now. it's pretty good. I had the same thing happen to me today as well. Saw a good item looked at what I had to compare and timed it just as the shop got new items. Now I just go to the sell screen and scroll down to equipped items.

so basically i should skip all the sidequests on playthrough 2 and do them after beating the game, so theyre all lvl 50 and insane then?

i just started playthrough 2 and its like whoa already. the badmutha skags in that one cave in skag alley was some intense fighting.

I stopped doing them about 1/5 the way through new haven, finished the campaigns. I'd suggest that if you like a super challenge, wait until you finish playthrough 2's campaign to do any of the sidequests for the most amusing challenge.

I wonder how they did the art for the guns, because a lot of them look real neat. Especially ones with elemental properties.

The boss fights don't feel right solo. Either I go down like a hooker or I exploit the fuck out of the AI.

I just found my first fuck-awesome gun

    11 THUNDERSTORM
    DMG: 202 X 8
    ACC: 16.7
    Fire Rate: 2.0
    Ammo: Infinate [Eridian]

Lightning never strikes the same place twice, but it can strike freaking everywhere!

Its a lightning shotgun that makes thunder sounds when you pull the trigger

I got something like that, and I fucking love the thunder. The whole idea of it blows me away.

"Hey, I have an idea for a gun - it shoots lightening and creates a thunderstorm around the player."

Sure, they could have made it more epic (cloud cover and shit), but that probably would have been difficult to pull off seamlessly and with time constraints.

The alien weapons are neat, but largely useless. I wish there was a stash or something I could store them in to show them off without taking up inventory space.

I found a full-auto electric sniper rifle which is pretty funny. Also, the lance dudes are oddly susceptible to fire. Guess they buy the cheap armor in the future.

So I never really appreciated my bird until recently since it has a 1 second CD, attacks multiple targets for about 4k multiple times in a matter of an instant, and dazes all of them every time.
Using the bird also made me realize how many clipping issues there are with it. The damn thing gets stuck in walls left and right.

EDIT: Seconding "And by friend, I mean he messed up my mom's [BORDERLANDS]"

    Honestly, with the vault
it was pretty obvious opening it was going to lead to something bad. The goddamn planet was named Pandora. Doesn't make it any less retarded.

I just picked up an orange sniper with the flavor text "A Hunter Lives in the stars..." I was confused at first.

Then I fired it. And it hit where I aimed, then three more electric bursts showed up in different places. This thing is going to be awesome.
