my roommate thought that Assassin's Creed was dumb and boring and repetitive and little more than a tech demo but he has many boners for AC2 so if you didn't like the first it's probable you'll find something to enjoy in the second!
it really is good
the music seems to play really quietly though (maybe it's just my TV?) so I didn't even notice until like yesterday when I was sitting on a rooftop batmanlike stalking some guards

Sounds like it is just your TV because I can hear it fine. Jesper Kyd is so wonderful.

that ending was pretty what the fuck (in a good way). also my idle thought of "man everyone seems way too eager to help me kill shitloads of people, that's kind of weird in retrospect" was vindicated when it turned out everyone i ever met was an assassin. 'cept my main man leo, of course.
So the 360 version of this was $40, while the Ps3 version was 60.
I went ahead and got the 360 version.
I got the PS3 version for 40.
At the place I bought it. I didnt really care what I got it for either way.
Also after just playing for a few minutes it is already way obviously better than the first. There are so many things to do, and a lot of the things you still do from the first are so much more refined.
The facial animation is pretty fucked though. Kristen Bell is not that ugly.

can't wait for the next one
The last bit during the credits was cool but I would have liked it better if it didn't have that:

You get to kill future dudes while that is happening so

the last weapon comes from 50 feathers and there's a part of me that wants to at least get that to finish my weapon collection but there's also a part of me that wants to beat that part of me up

After playing AC2, I realized just how shitty AC1 was, and I'll never be able to play it again
a lot of playing AC1 was "Man, when they refine these concepts it'll be so awesome"
then with AC2 I was vindicated!

as it stands I think Venetian Wine with the etched metal armour looks the neatest

Yeah, this is why I played through AC1 first.

what? that was great. i loved that.
i hate unexplored map
I was looking for an art dealer so I could finish buying the art in the game, I go up a viewpoint, see an art dealer, waltz over there
BONK off the invisible cyberwall "this memory is not available yet"
but I use a map
because fuck finding those on my own (although at least they were nice enough to have them make a noise and be easily visible with Eagle Vision on)
the auditore family tomb was pretty neat. definitely added a lot.
Well fuck me
I found it to be pretty useful.
