such a human would probably be no stronger (and in fact, likely weaker) than, say, an olympic-level triathlete
sure, the "wild" human would be all rugged and noble, but working within the benefits of technology gives access to more advanced understanding of nutrition and exercise equipment and such

and the chimp would still beat the shit out of either of them, chimps are on average five to seven times stronger than humans
with denser bone and thicker skin too! th_emot-eng101.gif

The story from a year or so ago about a pet chimp that went berserk is terrifying. It destroyed a woman's face and ate part of her hand before the cops shot it.

I still can't believe that poor woman survived. The sheer level of destruction she suffered is truly horrifying. She literally has no face. No eyes, no nose, no lips - nothing.

In an interview she says that she hasn't touched her head since the attack as she just doesn't want to know how badly damaged she is and how awful she looks now :(

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travis_(chimpanzee)

Is this the one you are talking about?
Travis suddenly and viciously attacked Charla Nash,[3] a friend of his keeper, causing loss of her eyes, nose, face, and hands

    That's the one.

She's been in the Boston area for a couple weeks. Doctors are determining the extent of reconstruction they can do or if they can do a full face transplant. It's been reported she's been in good spirits.

Also, the cop that shot the chimp did not handle it very well. He's been in a lot of therapy.

Orangutans would beat the shit out of chimps

The obvious answer is to hire one as a bodyguard

At that speed, it's sounds like a comedy sound effect.

...But if you raise it to an audible pitch while maintaining the proper speed...

I really didn't need any more fuel for my not inconsiderable Thalassophobia, but there it is.

and it's sister sound, the "slow down"

    Reminds me of this

The landspout one - starts off slow but keep listening, pretty creepy with headphones on

and just about any sound that we record from space, no idea how that works but pretty cool

An adult male can be a 300lb killing machine

However they're too cool to do shit to you unless you muscle in on their female

In one documentary an orangutan in a tree handed a leaf to a nearby cameraman standing on their branch, it was incredible

It was like "hey there neighbour, have a leaf"

was it raining when he handed the camera man a leaf?

Orangutans use leafs to keep the rain off them.

If it's terrifying you want, I have a contender for most terrifying in terms of most terrifying beasts compared to total fauna - Australia.

Everything in that fucking place is like the end of evolution, if evolution was a process intended to create beings capable of killing everything else.

Even koalas are affected by the miasma of bestial hate. Just listen. This is how you scream when you are aware that your main trait is being "Cute as a button!" and you live in the ecological equivalent of the Eye of Terror.

    WHY CAN THIS NOISE EXIST
