It was a discussion on communities that are under served by the current system of domestic abuse shelters. Male battering victims have very little in terms access to shelters. In some areas they may be able to get a voucher for a night or two at a hotel but nothing long term. For the lesbian community the issue isn't a place to stay but how the Duluth model views domestic violence. It breaks treatment down by sex, with the male partner assumed to be the abuser. This breaks down when you're dealing with lesbian relationships. Same for the gay community.

I don't like the Alejandro video, cause I think it's boring and drawn out, though the dancing parts are good. Telephone and Bad Romance are awesome videos that have a little more plot and stuff going on. I hope she goes back to that for her next single.

I have a hard time getting over the content of a song's lyrics in order to just enjoy the song itself. Maybe that's why I like foreign music.
This would annoy me, because songs with an emphasis on lyrics are fucking exhausting. Listening to an album like The XX for an hour is like doing an aural exam in a foreign language. I'm not saying that they're not rewarding, but fuck they can be inaccessible.
