Do you have to manually update it with some command console magickry or something?
Generally, yes. There's a program I run on my computer that connects via FTP to the game server and downloads the log files, runs through them to figure out which of you guys killed who, and does the math to update the website.
That seems like a longwinded and unneccesary way to do things.
Why cant the website just parse the stats live, or pull the stats from the server every night at X time.
Go watch some strategy videos, read strats, and learn to play a class you like. I learned spy from a video about a year and a half ago. People that are bored on the internet make videos like that, and it's really easy to learn how to play a specific class

Naw, people on pubs are terrible all around. It's easy to dominate on a pub any given day, but you play with the PA TF2 team to hone your skill, to master it. I was a decent spy on pubs, but playing on the PA servers has made me close to what I would consider mastering it.
Well actually Penny Arcade is vastly easier for spies most of the time because there aren't 4 pyros on both teams, yeah you build skill but this is because random pyros don't shut you down and make you play timid.
Also 34?(30 something) heads on granalprobe in the Penny Arcade servers. Playing as the joke character MacBest. I had the top score and was forcing engineers to build level ones over the area I was in.8-)

I always assume a medic is going to follow me when he starts healing me, regardless of whether or not I've been watching him healing everyone in a multiple-person group.

I had 2 medics the other night, just like Enders. I was owning too. That "Boolet Proof" guy is just awesome.
I got Le Goggles dropped last night. I finally feel like a real ghostbuster.
Ze goggles. Medic is German (or Austrian?), not French.
On the matter of hats, I combined a hatless hat and the medic mask for Ze goggles. Then I crafted the Blokes Bucket from scrap. Then I combined my Magistrates Mullet (since I already have the Fancy Fedora and prefer it) with the Demoman top hat (I never play Demo and it looks too much like the Gibus) for the Killers Kabuto.
I didn't like any of the hats that I got rid of but I'm also not crazy for the Kabuto or the Bucket hat and now I'm itching to combine even more of my hats. It's a horrible habit. I'm down from 9 dropped/crafted hats to 7 and I want to do it again!

But there are still a couple of spies I always make a note of when on the other team, and a few more coming up on my radar.
