I thought one of the vaults in F3 was decently creepy. The hallucination one, More creepy than the duwich building was at least (I thought the dunwich building was boring)
but vault 11 I found far more disturbing than either, also creepy:

Finally discovering the dessicated techno-corpse of mr. house, then cutting him off and leaving him to slowly die while he begged for death

Reply to above but still spoiler territory I guess.
I thought he was the one NPC you couldn't kill though.

Man, ED-E is a flying storage crate. Why didn't I think of this before?
They totally should have had a Z̵͚ͯ́̑̀ͤ͛a̳̲͉ͮ̽ͨ̾̑̊l͖̖̝͚͕̝͓͌̈g̳͕̪͉̼̹͑̒̆ȏ̠͚͍̤͚͙̍ reference, but didn't F3 have a monopoly on CREEPY AS FUCK shit in some of the places?
That shit was freaky. The video. The spirit of that introduction sequence changes CONSIDERABLY with that bug going on.
I just quit the game to adjust the settings. Went back and the save game is gone. I checked my local documents, and the timestamp on the save game is ten minutes old, yet somehow the game data is from a few days ago.
Glad to see they're continuing the tradition carried down from Black Isle Studios. I love the games these guys put out, but I've now played through Primm three times and got nothing to show for it.
So it seems that being under the effects of alcohol when leveling up causes you to lose skill points because of the intelligence drain. I assume this applies to other drugs that drain intelligence as well.

Did you try googling save game issues with New Vegas? Maybe someone figured out a fix?

It's a problem because my character is an alcoholic Private eye.
If anything I think you should be applauding the added depth to your character.
He's the bad kind of alcoholic that just gets worse at everything the more he drinks! He can't remember which case he's on, let alone what he did last night.

Fuck the stupid companion AI. I literally cannot save ED-Es life in this situation.

Haha, true. I guess I will embrace my self-destructive nature!

Here is my Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler
You can totally kill mr. house, you pull him from his little bitchass immortality hidey hole, then run the sterilization function from his little terminal.
He fucking explodes. Like, chest heaving, brain popping, overseer blasted in half fallout 1 dies. It was gratifying for me because I really didn't like his attitude, but I went with leaving him trapped in my playthrough because I felt it was more cruel.
While New Vegas was far and above a superior game to F3, and really brought back the spirit of the original games, It has some flaws..some that go back to the original games.
Ammo types? Even going back to F1, I never changed ammo. I always used the basic ammo with no problem for the most part. I did not feel there was any desperate need to change ammo, because by the time I had to change ammo, was also the time I managed to get a bigger, badder gun.
Companion AI makes me 100% not want to play hardcore mode, until they fix it. Because even when I've told my companions 50 times to be passive, I'll always turn around to find Boone running off into the distance to machete something that is no current threat to me and something that I never even attacked.
I can also understand Companions not being able to wear faction armor, but they should at least be able to carry it for me. At least let ED-E carry it for me.
Some Quests are hard to complete because people will randomly run in fear of me, screaming, When I am a beacon of goodness for humanity and idolized by their faction. Which makes certain quests impossible where they have to stand in a certain position. Maybe it has to do with ED-E's
Enclave association? I dont know, but it wouldnt make sense if it did since he's my eye bot
Faction money
Every NCR trader I talked to traded in Caps, making NCR money entirely worthless, except for buying chips in the casinos, which is all I used my NCR and Legion money for. seems like such a waste, surely a waste of an opportunity at least.
Achievements are also sort of broken, there have been several that I unlocked in game but did not get unlocked in steam, a minor and entirely pointless issue, but an issue none the less.
As for claims where the wasteland is as big as the capitol wasteland? Maybe in map size on the pip boy
get the explorer perk and you can see that a huge chunk of the western side of the map is entirely unused.
I think this sums up most of my complaints about the game.
but, you know? Its all minor things that can be fixed in a patch, and its not going to stop me from playing the game again. Even with these flaws, it is so far and above, in quality and presentation, of Fallout 3 that Bethesda should just sign Obsidian to make all future Fallout games. I will continue to play the hell out of this game.
It is definitely worth the Purchase, but maybe you'll want to wait until saving is fixed, since that is an issue that some people, not myself however, are suffering with.
Has anyone used the Grenade Rifles much? I want to recreate the Demoman from TF2 but I'm not sure if it's worth my time. I would probably just use a pistol and shotgun until I can find a Grenade Rifle, or maybe rush through the story till I find Thump-Thump in that one place.
I can not seem to finish the quest for the followers of the apocalypse. When I talked to Ignacio Rivas he never had any comments on the quest beyond saying that the NCR are playing me for a fool, and when I chose to direct the power to the entire area the quest immediately finished, and now both Ignacio and Fantastic are ignoring me. Is there some kind of trick to completing this quest in favor of FotA?

Did you
Go up to the top of the tower, walk down the ramp and turn the whole thing on afterward?
This game is such a nostalgia bomb.
It's like living out in the barbarian hell-lands for a decade, and one day happening upon a factory fresh package of those delicious hollow chalky candy covered chocolate eggs they sell in the civilized parts of the world during Easter, and when you open it up you cut your finger on that fucking plastic and the eggs look rather smaller than you remember as a kid . . . But they're still so goddamn tasty.
Exactly like that.

So I walked into Benny's casino. A while later I walked out Vilified with the Strip.
People randomly run in fear of you when you have aggro'ed something, even if you cross a loading screen. You will still be in caution mod which cause people to run from you.

Nope, they are doing it for some other unfathomable reason, Were times I spent hours without aggro and people will still do it.

So I must be dumb because I have no idea how to install mods. I'm trying to install the MTUI one. I followed the instructions in the readme, extracted it to the fallout new vegas folder, but it doesn't show up under "data files" in the launcher and nothing's changed.

Also, Zalgo gets my approval.
Yeah, I'm wondering this myself. It's been more than 5 days. Quest is still hangin'.

Just like in real life!
You can also just turn the steam cloud off so it doesn't redownload old saves
There is.

I grabbed the essential companions mod.
Makes life much easier, seeing as how they last about ten seconds before expiring in most of the situations I drag them into.
I also grabbed the unlimited companions mod, which means I now have my own mercenary band.
Oops.
Well, they're all double essential now.
Ummm, wha? I'm playing on Normal and Hardcore. They don't seem to be mutually exclusive.

Pretty sure the wild wasteland perk is a nod to them.

Dear lord.
Sounds like time for the Anti-Materiel rifle, with a sneak attack critical headshot, from extreme range.

God I love that gun. It makes me so sad that it does not show up till mid/late game
Am I doing something wrong?
