i'm impressed somebody reads all of the lore and pays attention to the story lines in game. I'm sure I've seen the guy he's talked about, done quests with or for the guy and yet ... no clue who he is.
Honestly, I hope they were serious when they said they would fix it. That would make that kids day.

The people that fear public speaking outnumber the people that fear death, give the kid a break. The ability to speak in front of 100s of people doesn't come easily, especially when you're not used to hearing your own voice through a loudspeaker. Look, I've been to PAX panels, I've heard the full spectrum of people talk on the microphone. What that kid sounds like in that video is undoubtedly how he actually talks in normal conversation. He's very clearly not socially adept.

My hunter just got the petrified leaf the other day during a guild MC run. Now I just need to get my shit in gear and finish the questline before Cata.
Didn't they change all the resistance racials to % to miss because +resist scaled pretty horribly, making them terrible racials in the first place? And now they'e changed them back.
Possibly. And yes, resistance racials are pretty terrible, unless it's ridiculous amounts of resistance (meaning it would spare you an item or 2 in a resistance fight).
I still think it's a good change because juggling hit caps in PvP was always pretty dumb with several races having higher hit caps against them than others.
Belves are hit that hardest by this change, because their only worthwile racial is now Arcane Torrent.

Yeah, the reason why I settled on my DK being a BE is because the 2% chance to dodge incoming spells was the greatest boon for tanking.

Which question is that video of? I can't get the sound here at work :P
It's a guy at Blizzcon's WoW Lore Q&A pointing out that (based on one of the novels) one of the dwarves who was supposed to lead a certain clan wasn't actually doing so in the beta, and why the difference? Part of it is that, even though he actually articulates himself well as others have said, his voice hits a lot of nerd stereotypes.
There were some racial changes. Off the top of my head:
Tauren herbalism bonus now also makes them herb faster.
Dwarves got Archeology bonus (more items) instead of Treasure Finding.
The Human PvP trinket got nerfed to 3 minutes CD.
In the latest beta patch all the "less chance to be hit by spells" racials were nerfed to resistance.
Gnomes got Shortblade Specialization - +Expertise with daggers and 1 handed swords.
Dranei JCer's now get a +10 skill boost instead of 5, and Heroic Presence only affects them.
Nelfs got an +5% movement speed when stealthed/prowling in addition to the stealth boost they had before.

Do Female Trolls get to blink yet? Like, with the actual ability, with the eyes?
I cannot express how glad I am that Deathwing doesn't let loose any screeching roar on the new login screen. Or very rarely roars; I watched it for a few minutes and he didn't do much more than snort every now and then.

I use a batch file to open wow.exe so I never really see the gong of death except when I have to download a patch.

Pointless clarification warning!
Basically, he was asking why Falstad was the Wildhammer representative forr the Dwarven council of 3 in "The Shattering" whereas it's Kudran filling that role in the beta at the moment. He was asking what the heck happened to Falstad. Even funnier is Metzen went 'Didn't Falstad die in Day of the Dragon' and someone had to point out that he not only didn't die, but was hanging around in WoW as the leader at the Wildhammer aerie.
I think. It's been awhile since I saw that video.

Doing some pvp for the free weapons now and while i used to enjoy pvp years ago, i just dont see why anyone could ever find this enjoyable anymore.
All the CC is just unbearable.
I really hope you are being facetious, because mindless burst damage reigns supreme everywhere you go right now.
Not at all. All the previous talents and spells that would limit stuns, roots, disarms, etc. have been removed. My warrior's biggest concern right now is being totally disabled by his opponent and then being slain while rendered harmless.
Mindless burst hardly reigns supreme. Using my holy paladin in shitty pve gear and 25k hp, I've managed to live through a lot of incoming damage and kill any rogue, warrior, or Dk who dared look in my direction.
Arcane mages being crazy? They have to chain cast three Arcane Blasts on you before it reaches insane levels of damage. They can only do this when you have been CC'd first, by either poly or, more likely, one of their 7 second retard roots. Fire mages are actually the most annoying for me, because they have the ability to root to their heart's content while being practically immune to snares themselves.
Mages and Druids are in a retardedly broken spot right now, but other than that PvP seems better than it has been in a long while. Hunters and rogues are in a worse spot than they need to be, and healers are way too efficient, but group pvp is still fun...provided you have two or three healers.

Explain to me how the exploit was happening and where people were using it
Your GCD used to be calculated Client Side. With a few simple macros, you could drastically reduce this, allowing you to do insane damage in, say, arenas.

Most people at this game are awful bad.
Let me put it this way, yesterday I dueled a disc priest with 1600 resil on my frost mage.
I killed him through pain suppression in a deep freeze -> blanket silence.
Feral druid bleeds tick for 6.5k-7k.
Hunters can still drop me through shields from 100-40% during a silencing shot if I don't block it. Destruction hits even harder than it did prepatch. Sub can drop a clothie from inside the kidney. Fulmination - Lava Burst is like an anthrax-coated nuclear missile in your eye.
The only specs that don't have hugely retarded burst are the ones that sucked shit to begin with, like retribution paladins.

How much HP did they have? Because 1600 resilence is about 50-60% damage reduction, and the gear that would give that would put them at around 35-40k HP. They would have had to suck some serious shit in order for that to happen, because I doubt you could manage to put out enough damage to kill a person with around 80-90% total damage reduction and 35k HP at full HP, and it takes 1 second for a heal-spec to get back up to full hp.

So yeah, the new patch called me back. Wow, running heroics is awesome with dungeon finder. I quit right before ulduar came out. I noticed a post earlier regarding horde recruitment. Are there any other horde PA guilds? I'm trying to get the groundwork set for Cata. It's funny because I've "come back" for every expansion. I don't know why I get burnt out between content patches.
