1. get about 3000 in chips, save the game
2. bet 200 on a slot machine
3. repeat until you either break the bank, one hit on lemons or higher will do it, or if you lose all your chips reload your save.
4. (optional) buy every gun and armor from gun runners and van graffs, kill the planet

lookin bad in my Reinforced Combat Armor Mk II
I don't see the appeal in this mindset. I enjoy the challenge of everything. I'm kind of disappointed in Hard Core Mode, because it is too easy. You need strength 6 to use the majority of the guns. Strength 6 lets you carry hundreds of KG of junk, thereby making it really easy to walk around with two sets of armor, five doctors bags, 25 stimpacks, 12 doses of med-x, 300 .357 cartridges, 200 .223 cartridges, 200 .308 cartridges,, a revolver or two, a rifle or two, a knife, a club and a power glove, and 20 KG of scrap, AND still have room to carry enough food and water to walk from Freeside to the Mojave Outpost.
I'm on the ps3, so I am thinking about imposing some artificial limits on myself, but I shouldn't have to do this. Restrict my character to one long gun, one medium gun (the lever shotgun or an smg), two pistols and a melee weapon... You could feasibly carry that-- a gun in your hands, a gun on your back, two handgun holsters...
I was just wondering, mostly because I can't recall a historical Beaton but-- is that gun (the Tesla-Beaton prototype) some sort of quirky developer's nod at Kate Beaton comics? (Since Tesla is like a featured dude in her comics).
Or is there some sort of historical Beaton who is famous for lasers or electricity?

I just did this while watching some footballs on sunday. didn't even have to look at the screen, just ding ding ur a winnaR! (or ding and then you don't get any money).
having trouble with the Beef-related Ultra-Luxe quest
I wanted to cook a fake meal and expose Mortimer, but everytime I bring Ted out into the dining room everyone attacks me and I can't find Mortimor. I understand there is a bug with wearing the mask, but I'm not, so idk. I'll probably just drug the wine or something so it's easier? How did you do this?
You may have already been answered but...
I didn't drug the wine, the only way I was able to pull it off (had the same issue) was to sneak directly to the guy making the speech. Talk to him immediately and go through the reveal. Anyone who aggro'd you will stop immediately after you're done.
I'm kind of dissapointed with Wild Wasteland. I didn't get the johnny five aces thing at all, and it took me way too long to get the thing in nipton. I never saw the latest Indy movie, so I didn't get that either.
It's only something they threw in at the last minute because they wanted to give people the choice between a silly, reference-laden experience and a somewhat more serious one. Originally I suspect they were all intended to be in the game from the start. So it's not entirely fair to judge it as a perk alone.

With luck 10 you can pretty much hit to 21 almost every hand of blackjack. It only takes a few minutes to hit the max.
I have 7 luck I think, but I'm sure it would be a lot faster using the slots, any of the higher jackpots are 12-16k with a 200 bet, not going to win that in 1 hand of BJ.
Also for gamblers: Mick and Ralph's has a pair of pajamas that gives +1 luck. That and the luck implant give you +2, I haven't found any luck hats or anything like the lucky 8-ball from FO3.
I couldn't find any so I played some face slots instead.
That is where I punch three people in the face and if I get all of them to die the same way (For example I separate three heads from bodies) I am a winner.
So I fast traveled to the crashed B-29 to do the Volare! quest, saved it as soon as I arrived like a dick and Rex and Arcade have both gotten stuck in the frame of a boat. I've tried waiting for 24 hours, fast traveled all over the place. Nothing. Am I screwed here?

"shouldn't have to do this" what
Does changing the difficulty merely change hitpoints and damage dealt/received?
Also they are assholes.
I guess you can't buy energy ammo from them if you do, but then again /console add.item 999999999 ec pack, kthx.

Like Johnny Five Aces, and the named Gauss Rifle is like YCS/186 Gauss Rifle
But then, in FO3 there were references to GoonSwarm (Something Awful's EVE alliance)

This is a mod which exists.
I'm tempted to go find the mod that turns the Vault Boy image from the Pip Boy into an anime. It's horrifying.
I was pokin' around in NVnexus the other day, lookin' for rad mods, and found those.
game's barely even out and already I am disappointed with the modding community.
at least morrowind waited a few years to get weird.
