Does logging in for four to six hours to sit behind a starbase shield sound awesome? Or having a combat lifespan measured in how much time it takes a more experienced player to lock you? How about hauling starbase fuel through empty, boring back sectors of space? Eve is an awesome game. I spent waaay too much time playing it. It's great at first but then something happens along the way and it starts to be a job.
Paying for EVE is like paying somebody to kick you in the nuts. Repeat.
The good thing is after about a year, you can pay for that ball crushing by dedicating your life to the game.
For those who have played WoW, travel in EVE is like playing WoW without any mounts or flight plans or hearth stone on a PvP server, and if you die all your items are taken away and your are teleported back to where you started.
It's a fun game, but can be a huge time sink. If you get involved in the 0.0 stuff, you'll find it can be more of a second job then a game. There is the flip side to this, where you do nothing but train skills while you wait for the next ship you want. This can lead you to a point where you're paying 15 bucks a month of 30 minutes of entertainment.
Eve is a game some people love, and others hate. I've played for quite a while and it keeps sucking me back in randomly. I usually regret it and cancel after a month or two. Oh, it's also the only MMO were you are almost required to have two or more accounts to be massively productive.
Take it or leave it, but 5 bucks for an extended trial is worth at least testing out. Only problem is you don't really get to experience some of the greater stuff in Eve till you've had about a year of training under your belt.
Hey, thanks Ubisoft, for making about as garbage a PC port of Assassin's Creed 2 as you could.
Mouse acceleration that you can't turn off, losing your connection pauses the game, and sometimes it just stops saving. Because of course, it is imperative that it save all your games on their servers.
I'll be damned if I give them another cent until they get their shit straightened out. If the game under all that nonsense wasn't so awesome, I'd feel supremely ripped off.
This is the umpteenth time M&B is on sale...are people even still playing this? I'm still not sure what the game is entirely about, other than killing people on horses. >,>

Mount and Blade: Warband is great. I would get it if my backlog wasn't already so large and if I could justify spending even mooooooooore money on games this holiday.
I've wanted Crysis and Dirt 2 for a while. Hmm. If anyone decides to buy me one, I wouldnt be mad, dont think I see myself spending money on them today.
I know this moves fast, but hopefully someone can answer this. Can I just do a single transaction of buying like 5 games as gifts, send them to myself and keep the one I want, and pass the others off. Or do I need to do single item transactions for each person?
WOOO HOOOO MOUNT AND BLADE MUTHAFUCKAS!!!!1!!ELEVEN!!
I'm assuming this is one of the vast majority of games where you don't get to gift extra copies if you buy the set? I already have M&B, but I'd pay the extra $2.50 for the Complete pack if it meant I could gift M&B to somebody.

Mostly just killing people on horses.
Ever play Sid Meier's Pirates!? It's basically that, but with the aforementioned horse-people-killing.

Man, $5? Almost worth it to not have to dig the discs and keys out ever again.
If it actually ran worth a shit on my computer, I'd be on it in a heartbeat. But after like eighteen CTD's, I was pretty burned out on the game. I'm assuming it's a Win7 issue, but who knows.
I almost want Sim City 4 just because I know when it came out hardly anyone can run it and now that it is the future then hoo boy. I suck at Sim city games though so weh.
Section 8 was kinda cool from the demo I played. I mean it probably has the most bad ass spawn system in any game ever.
I'm right there with you. I haven't played a sim city in a while, but it looks so much fun. One of the screenshots have a volcano in the middle of the city. Gah, this and the crysis package.

You already have one job, you don't need another.

I'd buy the Doom pack, but I just can't see myself playing them anytime soon. Same goes for SimCity 4.

Yep. I've been hoping it'd go up for sale. Had hoped not to spend any more, but this is worth it.
