In my opinion, Langly is one of the coolest people ever, and everybody who posted in this thread should give him a dollar each, so he could have over $200 and buy himself something nice because he deserves it for being so awesome.
When I kept an E-Journal, a couple lurkers from the forums would occasionally comment on my posts to it. It sounds weird but it was actually kind of comforting for random people to tell me they cared when I went through something rough.

Man I have been lurking for so long its weird to think about, like a significant portion of my life has been spent sitting around reading other peoples opinions. Which sounds really creepy, probably because it is.
This is also where I learn about a lot of TV/Music/games, without this place I probably wouldn't be watching Community, and never have heard of the Protomen.

LA is a bit more expensive than portland, but my girlfriend found a pretty cheap apartment in a decent area of town, and we'll be splitting the rent, so that part of it will actually be cheaper than here
though the apartment is a bit smaller, but it is what it is
and i have kittens now! They are incestuous brothers who were originally feral, but now they're playful and snuggle-able
