Which version do I get. Box may become the deciding factor. Also, pre order bonuses? Atlus usually has some, but none have been announced yet. Ah well.

The legal wheels are still churning, but this may be one of the few times Atlus gets to publicly credit the voice cast. I'm sure you'll find out before I get to tell you.

That would be awesome, and a good sign that this dubbing will knock it out of the park.
Yeah, sounds like Troy Baker's it. I'm cool with that. In my head I was already kind of hearing Steve Blum's Spike Spiegel because of the Japanese voice actor.
I'm going to import this game on release from the US, I doubt this game will get a local release in my region. I'm thinking Play Asia will be the best choice.
Damn you Chance your enthusiasm is making me buy too many games when I'm currently enjoying being a unemployed moocher:)
Union agreements. If the cast is credited, it was done through union.
Yup. Technically union actors are not supposed to work non-union jobs at all, but as long as it's uncredited it's usually not a big deal. An actor would get in major shit if he were somehow officially credited on a non-union project
So when people say this is "hard", what kind of level of hard are we talking about? Like "Good luck figuring this shit out without a walkthrough" hard, or like Prinny/Trauma Center "You better have the hands of a surgeon and the reflexes of The Flash" hard?
Cerebral hard I can handle. But action hard... ehhhh....

I think a walkthrough would ruin the game honestly. I mean I guess that's what they're made for but...I don't know.
It's extremely hard. You can figure the puzzles out, but you can't be freaking out and just pushing and pulling everything. Sometimes it really is a giant holy shit I don't know what to do and sometimes you WILL accidentally figure things out. But I guess to me that's what I liked. it's like a nightmare. You really don't know what could happen. Obviously everything IS possible to solve. There arn't any bullshit things. It's just really hard to solve so sometimes you end up just pulling shit and doing things and then whoops got it!
Overall though if you've read anything I've said up til now you'd know I absolutely love the game and think the difficulty is a good thing.
Oh and since I know it's releasing this Summer I get to do my Hard Mode run when it releases. WOOT!

Well, I just got something in the mail that I feel somewhat silly about owning, now. :P
Posts
I also really hope there's dual-language tracks on both versions. Failing that, Japanese only is fine.

Interest still piqued, for you guys who imported it can you rate the difficulty on a scale from 1 to MeatBoy?
I guess I'm importing come summer.

If only the rest of us had that option.

I'm going with Meatboy. And that's just for Normal. Hard would be rated Katherine. (2 steps above MeatBoy).
Also, there will most definitely be pre-order bonuses. The import came with them so I'm positive this will too. It's Atlus.

Maybe they'll have whoever dubbed the Japanese VA's most recent role do their role. :P
I'd choose J. Michael Tatum for Vincent, for what it's worth.
Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
Badger Ghostlight? They're the only company who seem to be releasing Atlus stuff over here presently, and they're pretty friendly.
Also, I second whoever suggested reversible covers. I'm playing this on the PS3, but would much rather have the Katherine cover.

One of my friends has a ps3. Gotta find a way to make him let me borrow it. Or steal it. Choices choices.

Serves me right for using cheapskate shipping.
I watched the Giant Bomb Quick Look and the game itself is intriguing, but I can't say the gameplay looks fun at all.
Maybe I'll wait for a Let's play.
And it looks like Troy 'Snow' Baker may be Vincent.
