so the final casualty list on my scorched earth playthrough was actually smaller than I thought it would be
I guess I could have tried harder to get people killed but it felt wrong (except for bringing non-loyal Jacob with me to the final fight to ensure his death, some things you just cannot leave to chance)

no one will miss you
Tali, I will kinda miss you but my paragon shep is tapping that so it's okay.

My brother just called me
He has a PS3 and no xbox or PC so he's never played Mass Effect
He's like "Hey so ME2 just came out on playstation. I know you've played it. Should I buy it? Would I like it?"
And I mean he and I have differing opinions about games sometimes but generally like the same things. His favourite game in the last few years has been Fallout 3 into which he's dumped about 200 hours including all the DLC.
So I was trying to figure out if he'd like it and I was like "Well I'm only on my 5th playthrough so I haven't explored the whole thing yet"
and he said an expletive, hung up the phone and bought it.
Monogamy is so boring. Still, my paragon male Shep decided to be loyal to Ashley.
Ugh.
I do wanna see what happens when you stay loyal.
Dizzy Shepard is the renegade bitch power-fucking her way across the galaxy.
It's interesting to me!
Liara has been the most compelling character, romantically speaking, to me. And seeing them reunite on Illium after two years of her mourning his death was lovely if a little underplayed
shadowbroker spoilers
And now that she's the broker, I think she could have a super important role to play in ME3 (I'm assuming, in this case, that even if you didn't buy the DLC, Liara will be the shadow broker in ME3, or at least in some more DLC)
I don't know it's literally the only chance for someone to stay loyal and bone one character over all three games. That's interesting to me!
I feel confident in assuming that all of your surviving squadmates will show up at some point in 3
not necessarily as playable party members, but they will be around.

Speaking of which, I'm surprised Kaidan (or Ashley I guess?) didn't show up again after the Horizon mission. Wonder if they'll bring him/her back for 3.
Basically 'holiday 2011' can't get here soon enough
I hate the idea that you're "cheating" on your ME partner in 2. It's been 2 years! It's clear when you meet them on Horizon (before any potential new relationship stuff happens) that they've completely moved on.

Some have put up the theory that she may take over as 'mission control' for ME3 in place of the Illusive Man.

What?
No it isn't.
You meet them at Horizon after they thought you were dead and you're working for the bad guys.
They moved on from your death, but suddenly you just POP BACK INTO THE PICTURE AND NOT EVEN A PHONECALL TO ME BUT YOUR BROUGHT GARRUS?!

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
remember how you played skyllian 5 poker with the engineers?
i think it's a reference to texas hold em' because both texas and the skyllian verge are historically disputed territories (batarian/human and us/mexico) that used to be considered "lawless" at one point

this is all easily solved if you just nuke your beau on virmire

But then no sex!
I imagine that inbetween the end of ME1 and the introduction to ME2 Shepard was getting busy

Hopefully there will be a new Asari for him to romance in ME3. He needs to continue to show the galaxy that he has a type.
ME2 seems to hint that it may be Shiala.
Let's Play Final Fantasy 'II' (Ch10 - 5/17/10)
that guy's a one woman man.
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
Not in mine.
Do you have Shadowbroker?
the man is unkillable
I think that's kinda messed
It's not like I ever got with Liara. We're just good friends.

yeah of course
I mean I wanna bone her in ME3 as well
make it through 3 games monogamously.

This was directed at pipe
Oddly, my Paragon run is the one hitting on anything with a pulse.
Renegade barely can get along with one person well enough to go for it. Even then, only when she's drunk.
Why I fear the ocean.

Hoping they bring her back for 3. Though apparently she has a huge following so chances are pretty high?
Monogamous Shepard is something I'd also like to keep for my main playthrough
not necessarily as playable party members, but they will be around.
but yes of course they will be back for the 3rd game
If you kill 'em on the suicide mission I believe you can start up a new one with whom ever is left alive.
So one person per game, not playthrough
edit: or that too
And bangin' the consort in ME1.
1. Sex up Consort.
2. Romance Ashley
Mass Effect 2-
1. Use and lose Jack.
2. Sleeze up Kelly
3. Sex up Tali. Kill her.
4. Sex up Miranda.
5. Hook up with Liara?
It's an amazing line
