Hey! Does anybody know of any exotic, strange treats that happen to be gluten free?...and dairy free?...and oat free? By chance? No? Oh, well let me know if you do! I can likewise bring allergen free goodies (such as local Taza chocolate or such).
So quick question: Are Kit Kats available in the US?
I have to ask since the most common Nestle candy bars do not appear to be sold in the US (Coffee Crisp, Aero, Smarties). I just found a box that sells various Nestle bars for a really good price, however the savings will be moot if Kit Kats are not part of things people actually want to see.
Also... this!
We compared this American Kit Kat (made by Hershey) to the British version of Kit Kat (made by Nestle) and found that this was half an inch shorter.
Hum, maybe I just answered my own question... None the less, input and desires would be most welcomed. I am about to head out and grab two or three of them.
Manchester's Asian market sucks. I got some good munchies, though. Fear not, PAXers, there will be interesting goodies coming from me.
Just go for the maple candy. Haha!
I wanted to get Cabin Fever maple fudge, but had no luck finding any yet. The week is still young, and the time altering Christmas-esque anxious feeling is cooling my veins. Time to crank up some MC Frontalot and bake some chocolate chip white chocolate chip coconut vanilla oatmeal cookies.

Fuck You Bottle is the name of my Jonathan Coulton cover band.
I'll do my best to bring a selection along from the UK.
Be mindful on what to bring. Many sweets we have in the UK also appear in the US. Notably: Toblerone, Kit-kats, M&M's, Milky-Way (Three Musketeers in the US), Mars Bar (Milky Way in the US) and Snicker.
The Aero Mint bars are already spoken for, and I don't know how long the Coffee Crisp will last. However you can get a Caramilk or a maple cookie from me in BYOC. I'll be with the IRC crew.
I think someone had already mentioned it, but I have bottles and bottles of Autocrat Coffee Milk Syrup I can bring. I hate coffee but I could live off this stuff.

Two can play that game!!!
Though obviously I have less stuff and now I feel sad and un-generous.
Also, there's a difference between UK/CAN and USA Kit Kats.
The question really has to be, is there a difference between the stuff from Canadia and from the UK? All chocolates are not created equal... I may have to bring an Aero across specially for Rdr to offer his expert judgement!

Interesting idea. I'm coming down from Canada. I'll bring a few beers from my favorite local brewery. And if I get any requests for Canadian foods before I I run errands tomorrow, I'll pick something up. Just let me know what you want, and I'll do what I can.

I'm interested in mint Aero bars. Don't think anyone is bring me any
I'll start with my list. I'm bringing the following
Caramilk bars - 1 box of 48 (at least a dozen need to go to Tycho, so back off)
Dare Maple Creme Cookies
I just read that, and I really wonder if our friends down south have a liking for them or not.
PS. They should, to be consumed with generous amounts of Milk.
I've had a couple requests for maple candy. Don't know if I can get it, as I think it may be more of a Quebec thing. The delicious cookies are the next best thing.
Those are seriously the best cookies EVER. I discovered them by stocking them on the shelf at my last job. I went, "Huh???" and bought a package after work, along with the lemon creme ones, which are also amazing.

Hey, everybody long time lurker who decided to check in on the forums days before the show to see what's up/can't sleep. And it turns out I find the most awesome thread imaginable, so I join and post. Luckily, I am a baking sort of fellow and I'll be going grocery shopping tomorrow (I'll be making some on the road treats for the trip to PAX) so I ask if there is anything I should pick up for you Southron folk.
I'm thinking some Smarties, All-dressed chips, (do you guys have Hot Wing Ruffles? those are my favourite chips right now) and of course Mint Aero bars for Rdr, at this point it seems to be a requirement.
On a related note, Decius you are a so GDLK for bringing Dare Maple cookies. Best Cookies ever.
We're bringing a box of mini chocolate bars (aero's, kit kats, coffee crisp's and smarties) as well as a box of ketchup, all dressed and plain chips
I also have baked goods but am trying to figure out how to get involved in the cookie Brigade ( I am not a gamer.. my fiance is I'm just tagging along Don't hate me lol I'll feed you)

Lot's of people are coming in with non-gamer girlfriends, just as I am.
Well, non-gamer is an exaggeration, but she is obviously less into gaming than I am.
Anyway, them cookies They are also just as welcomed!
:-D I have a box of 36 Mint Aero bars that I'm bringing with me along with a box 0f 24 70%Dark Chocolate Aero's that I found at the Wholesale. I tweet under workswithbeads2 as well and we'll be in Boston by Thursday afternoon. Now if anyone could find me Tupelo Honey . . . They'd make me very happy.
I just found this thread, and I think it is super awesome.
Not sure how popular Japanese food are here but I'm bringing the following:
* Calorie Mate (chocolate flavored)
* Rice crackers

* Gummies (I have pizza, burger, and hot dog)
* Good News chocolate (it looked interesting so I grabbed one)

I suggest you bring some of the following:
Jaffa Cakes
Minstrels
Custard Creme biscuits
Boost Bar
Double Decker
Crunchie
Whisper
Bounty (especially Dark Chocolate variety)
Roses
Quality Street
Thornton Chocolates
Monster Munch Crisps
Munchies
Aero bars
Foxes Glacier Fruits/Mints
I think that's about it. There might be more, but on the whole we Brits seem to have a sweeter tooth than our American friends
