We run a local Boston area game store called Game Underground. We are experienced in running tournaments and streaming them live. We are interested in providing you will streaming equipment to use with the main event screen for Super Street Fighter IV. We would like to stream it live on our channel for you.
Is there a way to get a hard wire for internet access in the tournament room?
We have a very good setup for this and use it frequently for local tournaments. We have had over 300 people viewing our stream live during our past events.
We also have a booth in the main exhibit hall this year. We think this could benefit both of us greatly.
Hey Lucky D, good to hear from you. Unfortunately a stream won't be possible in my area as we can't afford the bandwidth (the convention center's internet connection will likely be annihilated all weekend long). That being said, you're welcome to set up one or more stations for recording if you'd like.
Awesome! Too bad about the stream. I will attempt to see what we can do to get some recording going! Thanks so much! I can't wait for PAX!

Wow Soul Calibur 1. I never got to play that one competitively, only 2. That should be hella interesting. I dunno if there is any cheapness in that one I should worry about, but I don't even remember who I used to play back then.
Still, that shit is hot. I am so glad its not a newer Soul Calibur game (3 or 4) cause I dropped out of any competition by that point.
I also look forward to throwing my limp body into SSF4.
And yes, thanks for putting this post up finally, was wondering if the console competitors were an afterthought at pax
I only have a 1 day Saturday pass and I'm interested in:
2:00pm - 6:00pm: Super Street Fighter IV (X-Box 360)
So I can show up saturday morning at front desk to register as long as it is not filled by 256 people? What are the chances of me getting in and not filled up by Friday.
What time do you think Brawl Registration will overflow? Also, are the medals nice at all? Last year was a small jigsaw puzzle... Sadly I can only get a Friday Badge and would love a sat badge in return for winning a tournament ^.^

Registration for Saturday tourneys is restricted on Friday, so the majority of guaranteed spots in SSFIV will be available on Saturday morning.

If the demand's high enough, I imagine Brawl's Main List will fill up by mid/late afternoon on Friday. That being said, odds are you'll still get in if you're on Standby.
And as previously mentioned, these medals are fabulous!
Really looking forward to participating in the Halo Reach 4v4 tournament. Hoping I can get 3 friends of my group to join me. I don't even care if we do well, should be a blast.
Okay, sorry for the newbie question, but this is my first PAX.
When you say 1 game per group, do you mean only the things listed as "Group A/B/etc", or does that mean I can't sign up for both MvC3 and SSF4 since they're on the same day?
It only applies to the Mini Tournaments (Group A-D), since they're groups of 3-4 games running at once. As long as the time slots don't overlap, you can sign up for any game you want.
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (X-Box 360)
Mode: X Mode
Rounds: 2
Format: Single elimination, best of 1 game (best 2 of 3 for finals)
Any chance this can be changed to 2 of 3 games for regular matches and 3 of 5 for finals? It was switched to 2 out of 3 last year after the first round went flying, and after the change it was still way ahead of schedule.

Good point. Depending on how things are going, this will probably happen.
Hey so say I find a team of 4 people for the halo tournament but the three other people on my team only have a Sunday pass, can I register the team on friday or do all 4 of us have to be there to register the team?

You can sign up your team by yourself, no problem.

I'm excited for the MvC3 tourney.
I can't wait to throw down!
Now why on earth would we ban the main character?
Fabulous medals!

On some Arcade joysticks, there are turbo buttons. Are people allow to use turbo buttons?

Console tourney, no. Console freeplay, probably. That depends on for how long you can check out a station.
See you all on Friday!
