Wait, Edy Wiliams the actress who had parts in The Beverly
Hillbillies, Lost In Space, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, among many others, and was married to Russ Meyer, who directed Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill?: Yes. It’s actually her.
Interests: Animals, celebrities
...
On news that Knut, a newly deceased polar bear, might be stuffed:
“Knut ‘stuffed’? I was Taken back, stunned, isnt this very Drastic? If perhaps one could be ‘knut,’ would you want to be? Dont think so. Seems poor taste. Would jokes, ridicule follow. Let poor ‘knut’ REST IN PEACE. He gave his all, four years. Seems Not appropriate. Its not like ‘wax museum’ or a Mannequin. This was an adored, loved, Living Bear. Isnt there a way in better Taste. A Magnificent Statue? There are famous sculptors in Germany, a Donation for ‘K’!”
The lady would probably cover her mouth in shock and then tug on her husband's sleeve to inform him of the terrible transgression they'd made on society.

Topic is confusing for me though; when one says "economic effects" one typically refers to macroeconomic impacts, so that leads to stuff like demographic-change-induced effects on the savings rate, investment rate, etc. There may be other things that are altered via essentially economic mechanisms e.g., gender-related industrial activity or marriage market economics but these are not typically included under the broad umbrella of economic effects. I guess?
But then environmental effects would imply a more microeconomic sort of analysis. hm. Demographic and geographical population movement, changes in individual lifetime earning/wealth profile, changes in income distribution, changes due to inconsistent enforcement of the 1CP, etc., and then secondary effects on the environment? Or something?

I'm writing about the overall benefits of the one child policy in China and accident doesn't really fit given the culture's view on lots of kids.

Unplanned.
Is Rad pregnant?
Not quite but it made me think of "unable to support" which will work nicely. Thanks.
If she is I'm sure the beatings will take care of the problem.
I don't think you quite grasp the Chinese view of babies before the policy.
There were no accidents or unforeseen births. If you weren't trying to make babies, especially boys, you were failing everything everywhere forever.
If not, I have a few extra wire coat hangers.
oh my god I love McSweeney's sometimes

Not having a baby was the accident there.
I think her Knut could use a good stuffing.
How about abstinent French sources?
Is there a statute of limitations on word use
Does a word become adopted by a particular group and only used in that group
Can I punch someone for forming words in my head I don't want to think because they find ways to sneak around actually saying them
Environmental and economic effects of the one child policy.
Which this french PDF looks like it covers fantastically if I could read it better.
And can I punch you now
whisper the n-word into its cozy folds
burn it afterwards
wow, the latter alone could fill a book.
I'm pretty sure it's filled several...
papers that cover such a broad topic are often just a collated set of viewpoints from other sources (which might be in English)
Which is why I'll probably just try to get one at the library tomorrow. I'm just a little annoyed because the first draft is due Thursday.
Insular culture using a word for one meaning even if its a targeted group, then going outside that group and getting a different reaction
Language is funny
And Cass I'm gonna punch you
