never could get over GTAIV PC's horrible shadows, this looks a lot nicer
apparently this mod is even more likely to make your graphics card go up in flames though
the original version destroyed my SLI setup
Good lord this looks beautiful
Holy shit. The sunny day parts of this are quite impressive and all but didn't blow me away in the same way as the cloudy or rainy parts. Aside from the car itself I was having actual difficulty telling the background apart from a real cloudy/rainy day. Part of this might be just from how small the video screen is, but it's nevertheless insanely impressive.
Most other realistic-style games I see with clouds or rain look largely just like the regular game without sunshine. They don't manage to convey the slight extra grayness of the world you see with an overcast. This guy and his mod manage to. How cool.

The strange thing was that I never got an invite, I just went to the site and it already had my profile ready. I guess it was when I asked to be included in future Google betas?

Firefox/Chrome/Opera: Right before Google announced Google+ the company changed the bar across the top of all Google pages black. That bar now has links to your often-used Google services, and the Google+ Enhancer userscript makes it more useful by adding unread item counts to the ones you use.
Currently the script supports Google Reader, Gmail, and Google Calendar. It simulates the look of the orange Google+ notification button on the far right of the screen. These numbers appear in between the links to each service on the left, and it's worth noting you'll need to be logged in to Google+ to see them. You'll need Greasemonkey installed or a browser that supports userscripts to use Google+ Enhancer.
Brushes is pretty good (it's the one some dude used to make some covers for The New Yorker). If you're just looking to doodle or something there's Penultimate or half a dozen other free ones.

I know there is one that dudes really like to use on these boards, I think?
Any entertaining/interesting iPad apps, really. I'm going to be hanging out with one a lot waiting for things in the next few days
You'll probably want an iPad compatible stylus though.
However do remember that you won't have any pressure-sensitivity, so it won't be like drawing on a Wacom-based drawing tablet.
