Uncanny X-Men: A good issue. Now, I didn't read much of the prior arc, nor the first issue of this one.(I bought this just for Endangered Species.) But I am pleasantly suprised. I really like Warpath, and the Morlock plot looks to be interesting. The ending, while good, made me . B+ New Warriors: Also a good issue. Not as good as the first, but still quality. Night Thrasher's sales pitch was ten kinds of cliche, but everything else was pretty good. Tony Stark's challenge should prove interesting. The art is a bit more sloppy than the first issue, but still one of my favorites. B- Thor: Holy crap. Seriously, Holy Crap. This was beautiful. Between Coipel's art and JMS's fantastic writing this is easily my book of the week. This is the perfect example of a set-up issue. Lots of dialogue, a little bit of action and a ending that doesn't dissapoint. Fantastic job by everyone involved. A+
MAR072058 FALLEN SON DEATH OF CAPTAIN AMERICA IRON MAN $2.99
APR072328 RUNAWAYS #27 $2.99
MAY072156 THOR #1 $2.99
I've read all but Countdown and Nightwing already, and I managed to get my hands on Silver Surfer Requiem #2 after finding out it wasn't in my box last week. Thor was fantastic as everyone has said so far, as was this issue of Fallen Son.
I had read about some of the things that happened in Requiem, but the book didn't lose one bit of it's effect. The first two issues have been pretty gripping, and it's going to be a great send-off, if this is in fact the end for the Surfer.
I mean, I THINK I MIGHT like it. But I can't tell beyond my screaming in pain at how everyone looks like they're getting fucked because Greg Land watches too much goddamn porn.
So do we think BKV was straight out addressing the readers directly, making it clear that we aren't going to get a more satisfying explanation for the plague? That was my interpretation.
I also really enjoyed Runaways this week, I thought it was better than the last 2 issues.
Yes it was.
That's not really saying too much, though.
Well, I didnt dislike the previous 2 issues. I just though this was better
I had a really hard time with this months runaways. It just felt really disjointed to me. Honestly I think I'm going to need to reread it because if you ask me what happened I don't think I could tell you.

I agree. I was awfully happy with the reveal though. The rest of the issue seemed kinda random, or simply a means to introduce some characters. The end at least let me know he IS working towards something with all this.

The Azzarello/Lee one? Wasn't that like, three years ago? Either right after or before Hush.

Up, Up, and Away is what I mean.
Or the DCU Superman which is pretty much my favorite take on him.
I also really liked Rucka's Adventures of Superman
Awesome. So awesome.

Also, shame on you for not reading Uncanny.
Brubaker can do no wrong in my eyes.
Now that it's part of Endangered Species and subsequently Messiah Complex I'll be picking it up.

Why no Buffy this month? I hate you Dark Horse
Most of them aren't new I realize.
I'm broke right now, so next week I'll pick up Wolf-man(I can't believe I missed this, I was excited about it!), and maybe Thor.
EDIT: Fuck, zombies too? Damnit.
get Thor.
Get. Thor.
That's all I got.

I didn't grab Ultimate Power.
Really? I heard people were acting out of character, again, but BAD?

Who?
Considering the era, is he a Super-Asian?
The first comic book character
Yes it was.

Thank god Spider-man wears a mask.
Well, I didnt dislike the previous 2 issues. I just though this was better
The issue was hard to read though. Not because of that, but... the other stuff
And the only problem I have with the one that was given is the fact that it doesn't account for the loss of all the males of every species.
Black Cannary was all sorts of good but the cover made her face look like a man
I mean come on.
i didnt doubt the awesome ness of thor, im just broke

They were out of Black Canary. Maybe next week.
I was quite tempted.
Not that I thought it was good, but it could've been laughably bad.
Feedback sucked, therefore, I shall not spend a single ounce of coin on a book that features him!
