I'll ask somebody as to why they don't, but that's simply a good way to start a conversation.

    Hey, me too

Fun fact: I've never once said anything to anyone about their eating meat, but whenever I say I don't eat meat, people start getting preachy at me.
    Nah.

Eh. Personally, I don't have an opinion one way or the other. I eat meat because it's delicious, most animals in the US are killed humanely (especially ones that aren't poultry) and it's healthy for the most part.

Isn't not eating meat kinda unhealthy though? I ask because my science teacher once told us that humans need complex, animal-based protein in our diet for health reasons.

My sister became a vegetarian at about 13, mainly because she never liked the texture or taste of any meat, even when she was very young. My parents got tired of having to fight with her practically every night, so they just gave up.

She's one of the only people I know who became vegetarian strictly as a matter of taste.

it's funny because i was talking to manifest about how happy i was to be able to eat meat again

and he was like 'was it a porkchop? i used to love porkchops.'

and he was interrogating me about whether or not I was eating apples with it

My reason is basically I've never been attracted to the smell/look of meat, and apparently I've refused to eat it since I could eat solid food, so eh

    That's cool.

    I love meat.

What about general health? Personally, I've only met a few "healthy" looking vegetarians, and no healthy vegans. They all tend to look a bit sallow, pale, thin... sickly in general.

Edit: again, the original question was based on my own ignorance and the possible intolerance of my science teacher towards veggie eaters.

It's because a lot people that become vegetarians or vegans don't know what the fuck they're doing, they just stop eating meat/animal products instead of replacing it with alternatives

    Meat
    Veggies
    Fruit
    Candy
    Grains

After moving out on my own, I realized picky eating is for rich people. That and the fact that lots of things are delicious.

Honestly, it just works for some people.

My friend is a vegetarian and eats mostly crap, just a lot of cheese and bread. He doesn't even eat that many vegetables, just lots of starchy shit and cheese. He's a healthy weight, height, his hair isn't falling out etc.

I was a strict vegetarian for like two years and got pretty skinny, borderline unhealthy skinny. I decided it wasn't a healthy way for me to live and now I eat meat once a while, not a big deal.

If it was up to me I'd just eat seafood and vegetables all the time.
