Anyways, here is the post that I was going to make before the forums decided to snack on it. Can't copy/paste given it takes me to a ToTP post that isn't mine, so this is mostly from memory and might not be word for word.
Blarney declined clarification on specials, which leads me to believe that specials might be unlocked later (also possible that he views the nightly money buys as specials). I know for a fact that there are at least two vanilliger roles, patrons (everyone who died last night) and XXX (the role I am). Per Infidel, I didn't make the same thing as a patron, I made slightly more per night, but I had a higher win condition.
I'm not stating my role to give the mafia another advantage in this game, but my hunch is that specials might be graduated from the player pool. Maybe. Hopefully. As pf right now, I'm not a special, so don't think I'm trying to be coy about it.
I lost about half my starting stack last night on the Deeznuts bandwagon fail. I bet $100 on each fighter tonight to see what would happen. I'll let you know how it plays out.
