Who has two thumbs and just made an Excel workbook of all the downloadable tracks for Rock Band, with conditional formatting to highlight the ones marked in a wishlist column in bold, and strikethrough the ones marked under a column for 'tracks I already own?'

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

the "no true scotch man" fallacy.

when some lefty Anti-Vaxxer dies feel free to celebrate in chat and I will join you in it.

And I seriously think the world is a better place with Breitbart dead. He did far more harm to more people than he could ever hope to alleviate. So in as much as I think the world is a little better off now I do indeed feel joy at that bastard dying.

holy shit, the tories are actually going "it's the Liberals who tried to commit electoral fraud in liberal ridings to pin something on the conservatives."

Really? That is the dumbest thing ever. The worst part is it actually might work.

A game like SimCity would run like butter in parallels or VMWare Fusion.

No need to wait for a mac copy on that one.

And Maxis has been pretty good about releasing their new titles on Mac.

ok, new topic, the 1.2 update of Minecraft was released today.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=pRZQiCCIqiE

While it continued the practice of keeping some long held behind-the-scenes stuff (like mod and server support) on the back burner it does have a lot of shiney new toys.

Jungle trees that are 2x2 blocks thick and massively tall. Cats. Taller world height.

Though with regards to the server issues, I think the recent (as in this week) announcement that Mojang has acquired the bukkit team might explain what their plans are in that area.

SimCity and SimCity 2000 had excellent DOS versions (the sc2k on GoG is the DOS version). I believe DOSBOX runs well on the mac doesn't it?

If we ever achieve a true post-scarcity society, the first 100 years are just going to be people creating X-splosions with various values of X.

I made an SQL database of alchemy ingredients in Skyrim to see which potions I could craft from a given list of materials. :nerd:

Though that was mostly to practice SQL which I felt hella rusty at, and it made for a good exercise.

hehe my friend just got to boston to cover a conference and he says it's the worst place he's ever been to

My experiences in the Navy taught me this is true.

People from Boston were kind of awful, and the guys from parts of Massachusetts other than Boston said that Bostonians are the reason the phrase "Masshole" was coined.
