I was born in 84 just about a week before the theatrical release of Ghostbusters.
The earliest memories I can put a date to were in preschool and elementary school. Those usually centered around playing with Ghostbusters and Ninja Turtles toys, getting a Nintendo Entertainment System from my uncle (with Ghostbusters and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles along with Mario/Duck Hunt) and seeing Ghostbusters II in theaters. The rest was filled with LEGO and Play-Dough and I vaguely remember the Berlin Wall falling and me asking my teacher if that meant we would have a new holiday and her saying "maybe". I understood it was a big deal but not much beyond that.
The 80s were pretty alright!
I mostly remember bad clothes.
Can't really talk though, I LOVED reflector shades and day-glo colors in the 90s. I wanted to learn to skateboard SO BAD but I had awful balance.
Love this song. In high school I wrote a not entirely unserious admissions essay centered around how this song had changed my worldview and influenced how I wanted to live my life in the future, which got me rejected from the program I was applying to. Obviously the people who judged it were not awesome.
This has to be my favorite song on the album though and do forgive the crap video:
It's either that or I Know What I Know, both totally amazing songs that are still some of my favorites to sing in the car.

Graceland is definitely one of my favourite albums of all time.
HOWEVER.
Both Nebraska and Born in the U.S.A. came out in the 80's and these are arguably Springsteen's two best albums.
E: As did Speaking in Tongues and Naked which are pretty much the two best Talking Heads albums but I already mentioned them and I didn't want everyone to know about my freaky David Byrne obsession

I really wanted to learn how to play this soooo bad I learned the guitar one summer and was very disapointed when I learned all about effect petals
I was born in 1986, so I basically grew up in the 90s. Tank Hammer's post reminds me a lot of my childhood, especially everyone's obsession with Ninja Turtles.
Right now, I am in my third year of university, with a bunch of people who were born in the mid 90s. They keep claiming they grew up in the 90s. I don't know what to think about that. Being older in university is a little weird.
Erasure's "Always" plays regularly in my workplace. It makes me think of Robot Unicorn Attack though I was well-aquatinted with the song before the game came out unlike some of the younger people I know.

Satans..... hints.....
No, I didn't know there was any.
But they got all of Paul Jennings' books and put them into the series.

That was DRILLED into my head for years
Pfft, look at that first lady, trying to indoctrinate our children, calling them stupid.
Good thing that doesn't happen anymore.
Animaniacs.
More specifically, Freakazoid.
And a sketch comedy show from Australia called Fast Forward, later Full Frontal.
hahahahahahah yessssssssssssssssssssssssssss
what a stupid idea that was
I had that on VHS

But not me
feel good about that

What is werid is Animaniacs and Tiny Toons are both Horribly dated and Freakazoid is not
The 90's? I was a teenager into young adult so it was a interesting era
I still have the entire original toy line of this show.
