I don't think her opinion is a problem with a solution. It is also not unreasonable.
The suggested solution was for the situation she described, not her opinion.
Is that clear enough now?
The situation she described was 'Please don't add me to your PAX circle without asking.' She stated the solution pretty clearly. Making a fake PAX account won't stop people from circling her normal account.

Really? I read it as "people are adding my real account to circles." One possible solution is: don't give people access to your real account. If it wasn't working out for me pretty well, I wouldn't have suggested it.

The problem is that people are already being shared. Short of somebody shutting down and abandoning their active accounts to start new ones, it's too late for that.
If people in this thread can't get their acts together and only add people who express a desire to be added, I will be forced to shut this thread down.
I'll be there on Saturday covering events and videoing MC Frontalot, JoCo ,and Paul & Storm. Feel free to add me to your circle. http://gplus.to/Boffoyux

Unfortunately, this isn't just a PAX forum thing, but a problem with G+'s privacy settings, which are even worse than Facebook's (yes, seriously). Google is aware of this and has no intention of changing, from the sound of it. I looked around and found this:
Someone in that thread very rightly pointed out that once someone adds you to his circles, you are now publicly linked to that person. I don't think I need to explain why this is such a bad idea on Google's part. Of course, I have some way-outside-the-box solutions to that, too, but my ideas seem to rub a lot of people the wrong way, so I'll just leave it at that.
And yeah, we shouldn't add people who aren't explicit about wanting to be added. Good intentions, road to hell, etc.

Also some pax people have access to my account because well... I have a LOT of awesome pax friends. I have no problem with people who actually know me adding me, in fact I'm all for it. My issue is with being "shared" with hundreds of people I DON'T know, simply because we happen to attend the same convention.
I also agree though that this is a serious issue with G+. And is one of the many reasons I still much prefer facebook

Not to derail the topic any further but FYI, Facebook does the same thing, though with their tangled mess of privacy settings you'd never actually know. If you unfriend someone and they never actually go to "unfriend" you back, they're still "subscribed" to you and can see all of your public information and updates on their newsfeed.

Per Moe's comment above, I'm going to end re-sharing of the circle from my end. I thought G+'s method of doing privacy and sharing was perfect for this sort of thing, but enough people have gotten upset that it's just not worth it.
