The episode where they go to heaven and get sent back.
Thank you for ruining any suspense when they fight. They cannot die? That is kinda retarded.
yeah they get a bit carried away with that junk and it definitely lessens the impact of things
The stakes are much bigger than the brothers' lives. Whether they live or die in season 5 doesn't really matter! What matters is saying yes, or saying no.
Yeah death has no meaning when the people running both Heaven and Hell are the bad guys.

Season 1 is pretty dumb. Season 2 gets better, but not great. Season 3 is great. Season 4 is great. Season 5 was decent enough. Season 6 is...less than great.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
The Devil's Gate, Dad escaping Hell, Azazel finally biting it, Dean being condemned to Hell in one year.
Really great stuff.

are you talking about during season 6, Munkus?
Because if you are, it's because they aren't fucking going to heaven. The reason they went to heaven in season 5 is because the angels wanted them there. Dean was Michael's vessel, and Sam was Lucifer's. After that, they aren't going back.
And plus they have a job to do. Rewatch that episode in season 5. Dean hated the concept of personal heavens because they were dictated by the angels.

No.
The reason they went to heaven in season 5 is because God granted them salvation.
Sam would have gone to hell otherwise.

Regarding Hell Hounds
I wonder if they wanted them to be invisible or if they just couldn't make them look good with their budget.

Almost certainly the latter.
Also, Re: Crowley
I'm actually really annoyed that he didn't give Bobby his soul back straight away. It's actually really out of character for him. In every other situation, he keeps up his end of the bargain. Hell, Crowley gets betrayed by Castiel and the Winchesters more often than anything else.
He weasels his way around, but his word has been his bond except for then. Also when he said he'd give Sam his soul back, but technically with the souls from Purgatory he could manage that.
Re: S6 finale
About halfway done.
Holy Fuck. Cass has gone total fucking darkside.
Re: My Issues with S6 and the writing in general at times:
Dean and Sam basically never have any lasting character growth. They bitch and lie at each other to the point where they are pathological liars about things that they have no business lying about. Then they take turns flipping out over trusting the other one.
I thought Dean's little episode with being Death would give him a new perspective on dying, saving people, and making sacrifices. But it didn't.
I dunno. It's starting to feel really hackneyed and formulaic. I like the mythos, I like the non-Sam/Dean dialogue and acting. But the way Sam and Dean themselves interact with the world...yeah. Feels like a boring formula now.

MY girlfriend got me hooked on the series, and we're now coming up to the end of season 5. I know there's plenty of reservations about 6, I'm not reading up on them because I really don't want the spoilers, but I know we'll keep going because it's an entertaining show and I don't see why that'll stop.
