Edit: If you attend all of the events and get your card stamped, apparently you'll be entered into an onstage drawing to be the first Omeganaut of 2008!

Whaddya mean "all the events"? All the Omegathon events? All the panel discussions? I dont think you can make every single panel cuz there are multiple ones put up against each other... unless they're doin everything multiple times.

That's one way to make sure that people attend the Omegathon. Probably not worth it, though... You guys should probably just not bother. I certainly won't... Nope... >_>

such as the yellow star that meant you were a pre registee embedded smack dab in the middle of the badge is missing and uh... less text I guess..... that's....all.....but how will they know we're the awesome pre registers instead of the normal 3 day passers! OH DEAR THE DILEMMA!!!
Also got my Badge! Though, I registered for a BYOC and I don't see any information about that in my letter... anyone know anything about this?
same here. I registered for BYOC, got my badge today, but no mention anywhere about it.
not in the letter, or on the badge. and I checked my reg details and it says I'm signed up for it.
Anyone know why they paid $0.58 for postage on a letter?
Because of its weight?
Because of the badge. 0.41 plus 0.17 non-machineable surcharge.
Silly USPS with their new regs.

The badges are different each year so people can't just wear the previous year's badge and get in to the show.
Since Pre-Reg attendees don't get in any earlier than on-site attendees this year*, the badges were made the same for all 3-day people to reduce any possible confusion about the badges from Enforcers or WSCTC Staff.
*They sort of get in earlier since they don't have to wait to pay in the On-Site Registration line, but other than saving money, that's the only benefit of Pre-Reg.

That's correct -- USPS First Class is .41 for the first ounce, and .17 for every additional. We were over one ounce.
Regarding the BYOC badges -- BYOC was essentially an "add-on" to your normal PAX registration this year (hence the later registration date). You'll receive those badges in a separate BYOC-only mailing.
I wonder if it would be worth talking about putting some sort of sticker on our badges to identify ourselves (forumers at least) ... would this be worth discussing maybe? Even something simple like a green dot or something.

Last year, and I think in 05, 1up was giving out free ID badges with your picture and forum name on it. Granted, I think the pictures weren't the best idea since people could just look at you to see what you looked like. It would be cool if they had internet access and could pull you avatar off of the forums here to put on the ID badge.
As for the sticker thing, I frankly am getting around the "who am I" problem via a shirt with my affiliations/Forum name/other online names printed on it. booyah.

Bah... I live in Redmond and I didn't get my pass yet.
This shipment was mostly the people that got in on the early bird pre-reg.

There is hope for you guys that pre-registered at the last possible minute! I got mine today and that is what I did. I think I registered two days before the pre-reg ended.
I bought a new digital camera just so I could have a good camera to use at PAX. I got the Canon SD-1000 (7.1MP) and if you check the file name of this pic, you will see that this is the first picture I have taken with this camera.
If you a) live in the US, and b) registered between January 1st and June 30th, your badge has been mailed.
If you purchased more than one badge, each badge will be mailed in a separate envelope. Therefore, if you registered for yourself and 8 of your friends, you will receive 9 envelopes, each with 1 badge. This simplified things on our end (especially with regard to printing and stuffing envelopes).
BYOC badges will be mailed separately -- that is to say, BYOC people will have both a regular 3day badge as well as a numbered BYOC badge.
International badges will be going out this week.
If you moved and you don't have forwarding set up, if you receive an envelope with no badge, etc, please please shoot me an e-mail (amberf@penny-arcade.com) and we'll figure everything out.

I got mine. I think the first thing I did when I freed it from its papery womb was to do strike the Zelda-got-a-new-item pose.

Early-Bird prereg ended on like march 31st i think? So it was the people who got in on that deal.
