I think you can enjoy whatever you want but when it gets to a weird, insular, lets kill the time between seasons with a lot of weird fan art sort of level
Well

Yeah, exactly. "Everything in moderation" applies to.. well, everything.

Can the act of taking things in moderation be moderated itself?

I like Friendship is Magic but do not consider myself a Brony
Is this allowed?
Liking a show is of course "allowed"
but the whole bronydom is simply so.. creepy.
people centering their life, personality, their friendships around a show made for little kids..
and don't get me started on all the mlp rule 34, that's a whole different plane of existence of "fucking creepy"

Can you be tolerant of in-tolerance?
Do androids dream of electric sheep?

What if it's fan art that's not weird?
that's better I guess, but there's still something unwholesome about the whole thing
There's all kinds of good cartoons, why has this rabid fanbase been built on this one? What is the major appeal of it?

This is why I hesitate to call myself a Brony
It's a good cartoon, it's on Netflix, it's a lighthearted thing to watch if I'm tired of serious dramas and need a break from the sometimes-depressing shit like Breaking Bad
Phineas and Ferb is also a show I watch for this reason
I don't see the point of all this meta stuff or what value it adds to a discussion. I liked the "report for awesome" thing we had going on the old forums, so it's good to have that back in an improved manner. And there's nothing wrong with awarding badges for 25,000 comments or something, but most of this stuff just seems superfluous.

I'm gonna say because Andromeda sucked
But there are lots of Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica fans

I guess this thread is about bronies now, but I just wanted to chime in and say that most of the updates are fine, but the buttons only appearing on hover gets really distracting when I'm scrolling down through a page. I think ideally the quote button would be visible all the time (next to Flag I guess?) and the meta-comment buttons would be in a dropdown or something.

Man
I was fucking insufferable and completely self-aware of it
Glad it's over!
Never wrote any erotic fan-fiction or anything, though
Can the act of taking things in moderation be moderated itself?
You're equating casual fandom to some unhealthy obsession. And yea, I'm just posting memes for fun
Especially moderation.
Nothing that we've been able to trace back to you, at least
Including moderation itself.

Also i dislike bronies. you can like whatever the hell you like, but from what i have seen of brony culture is fucking toxic.
Does it have ponies in it? That's weird.
Do androids dream of electric sheep?
yes no.
Is this casual?
password is "fluttershy"
Satans..... hints.....

No, that's some scary, sensationalist bullshit. Extremists will always be extremists.
Unrelated, I really like your avatar.
Why are there Trekkies and not Andromedans?
Or you could just turn those features off.

Yet there's no crazy fanbase around that
but i ain't judging no one
i'm the dude picturing you jack it to ponies
I'm gonna say because Andromeda sucked
But there are lots of Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica fans
man, why didn't they think of that in the first place? I bet you saved them a lot of time with that helpful advice!
Especially because I watched the first few eps of Adventure Time and it wasn't that good

Sometimes I want to slap you upside your big head, but in a friendly manner where we then go get tasty burgers.
And don't forget Homestuck.
yes, but i wish no.
judging from the small sample i've endured, i'd say the vast majority of brony fan art/fiction involves some form of horse fuckin
I guess part of it is the horse thing
Like when I see someone draw ponies as if they were human women I can only assume it's because they'd like to have sex with them
so that throws me off a bit
And part of me feels like a lot of people just like it because it's a weird thing to like? I don't know.
Because I would much rather have that over social media type stuff and cheevos.
I'm cool with the new additions, its just not what I wish was the priority.
