so I haven't seen anything about gearbox.... did I just miss it or am I crazy?
Well there's the gearbox panel on Sunday (3pm?) and 2K Games (the publisher of most Gearbox games) has a sizeable area in the expo hall as well. Though I haven't seen anything about what all 2k will have there.

right yeah I just thought I remembered them specifically listing gearbox on the map last year perhaps I am indeed crazy....
Any word on Valve? I don't see them on the Expo map but I think they're based in Bellevue so it'd make sense for them to come.

I saw a lot of people excited to play Hawken at PAX. If their booth is too crowded you can come by the Machinima booth too (6100, on Level 6), where we'll have game stations for Hawken. Plus we'll have some tickets to the invite-only Hawken party tomorrow night. We should be giving them away at the booth all day on Friday but it's best to come by early if you want em. Our PAX schedule: http://on.fb.me/OBVQtD
Full disclosure: I work for Machinima, and if you need anything from us at the show feel free to hit me up on Twitter.
Valve will not have a booth at PAX this year, but we are hosting a casual Counter Strike: Global Offensive tournament and release event on Saturday 9/1 at the Intel LanFest (located on Level 3 of the WSCC Annex). The full event details can be found in our thread here:
Sorry for this long overdue "thank you" from us, the guys who made Catch-22 (PAX10 game). We've been realy busy finalizing the game and it's send to Apple for review now, so hope it will come out soon!
First and foremost, everyone who played our game at the booth; seriously THE most incredibly experience we ever had! It was great to get in touch with the public and have a chat with you guys and girls! We really miss PAX and hope to be back next year. Also if you want to play our game (for FREE!) now, please visit our page and it's right there!
Last, but certainly not least; A BIG thanks to Tim Daniels who helped us out at the event with a ton of stuff. Liz Migliani for arranging last minute booth stuff, and David Coffman for arranging everything beforehand. YOU GUYS ROCK! And made PAX an unforgettable experience for us! Also, all the staff at PAX were incredibly helpfull and nice and you make your country and Penny Arcade proud!
We love you America and we'll see you in a week at IndieCade!
