If you wanted self-preservation, why did you start the game off by voting for yourself? :P
Cayrus They were Grey.
More importantly, why not vote for mi-go hunter who is in the lead?
Oh oh! Pick me!
I think it's likely that BOTH TNB and Mi-go are mafia. We've discussed Mi-go already and look to be well on the way to finding out.
TNB I think just got caught doing what he always does. The only issue is that this time he's actually mafia. So when he was called on self-voting, he was in a bind. Notice how little cross talk there is while TNB is defending his "strategy." That strikes me as TNB being told to go fix things on his own because no mafia member is going to stick their neck out for someone who self votes. On the other hand, I can totally see them threatening him with eternal grudging if he's day 1'd for something silly like that. So TNB gets hung out to dry with orders to fix this himself. The worst part is, TNB never gets more than a couple of votes ahead. The rest of the mafia can't just jump on the bandwagon, because it's still possible TNB might get out of it. So they just have to stay quiet.
Eventually, TNB shushes, Obi talks about Mi-go and the wagon shifts.
An important point to remember is that vanillagers don't fight day 1 votes. As a vanillager, if you'r the target of a day 1 wagon, it's somewhat in your interest to just let it happen. That allows you to avoid being day 1'd in the NEXT game where you might have a more interesting/important role. The people who fight day 1 votes tooth and nail (like TNB and Mi-go did) tend to be either village specials or mafia. Specials on day 1 will exposes themselves to SOMEONE. Neither of these two seem to have done so.

Plays phalla like she's everyone's mom: constant disappointment and vague attempts at guilt trips.
No personal evidence of soft-networking.
Rarely gives logical reasons for votes, relies more on feelings and "hunches"
Logs on late due to schedule, expect activity late in the day.
Was going to stand by my self vote as long as my wagon stood, seeing as it isn't and "voting for yourself ruins the records" figured I switch my vote to the person I originally suspected, Kime. Honestly I'm not the thorough.
So if you love games and I love games... Why are we not playing... **sees the forum** OOOOHHHH Yeh!

you all suck.
I'm so sorry my schedule doesn't fit into your nicely planned medium, @Baidol.
here, let me try this for you.
First day votes are usually meaningless. I say usually because contrary to what seems to be popular belief these days, you can get something out of them. Even on the first day!
For example.
TNB was being useless and foolish and silly and voting for himself on Day One. Not very helpful to the village overall (except in rare cases in which it has been helpful but that's usually during faction games with specific points of interest as well as elongated Day Ones. Which is not the case) unless, of course, that player tends to be useless completely at which point the village may just be better off without them. Which is in my limited experience is not the case with regards to TNB. He can be a fairly decent player, if things come down to it.
Kime is being kime. Why there's this strange aura around kime of being trustworthy, or not, and trusting or not I do not understand. Kime was winning the vote. Well that's not unusual.
mi-go made some comments that struck me as randomly mafia. I would have said something when they occurred, but I'm on the other side of the fucking planet and was thus asleep at this point in time. However, upon reading the thread this morning in my rush to eat breakfast and get dressed and do laundry all before going to the gym, I did again not how mi-go was being suspicious. Luckily for me, ObiFett called him on it and the vote shifted.
Wait. The vote shifted. How very interesting.
Now looking back I do not think that TNB is mafia because a mafia voting for themselves on Day One when they know of the overall communities tendency to punish such rank stupidity is a plan just close to being SteverStupid. So putting that aside for now, we'll chalk it up to TNB being a foolish player and let it go.
As for TRV, the guy is having fun in threads. It happens. He talks a lot which can provide cover for others (specials, mafia, low posting nimwits). Used to be that me and Kime would compete for top posting. But then people bitched about having too much to read. Suck it up.
All of that said, i shall now vote.
