Four crazed warriors stared intently at each other, having lost all their clansmates. They had collaborated to devour the anomalies...and their unified efforts proved successful, proving that a common foe can marry the worst enemies...at least for a time.
With the common threat now gone, the four warriors stood, alone and crazed, bloodlust filling them, fueling them all as they stared each other down above the wrecked topography of the battlefield.
And then...
Shamus's attempt to devour Squashua succeeded.Squashua of The Maribel was eaten... SpeedySwaf's attempt to devour Neville succeeded.Neville of The Solids was eaten... Death prevents Neville and Squashua from eating each other!
A feast for two...SpeedySwaf settled down to chew on Neville's corpse and Shamus sat down to chew on Squashua's toes.
Hours later, having eaten, both Shamus of The Brutes and SpeedySwaf of The Wolves stared at each other over the remnants of their respective meals, the crazed look in both their eyes receding.
"'Sup?" Shamus asked, giving SpeedySwaf a nod of acknowledgement.
"Not much. Eating," SpeedySwaf responded. "You?"
"Same."
"I guess we have to kill each other, huh?"
"Tomorrow, man. Tomorrow."
"Alright. Time to head to the Karma Temple anyway. Shall we go together?"
"Sure. You know, this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendsh-"
Everything stops; Shamus's voice falters and he is unable to speak. A crackle and a monotone voice cuts into the air.
"Mortals. Thank you for your participation in Experiment PHAL01. You have done well and though you are now evenly matched and unable to defeat each other, we congratulate you on defeating the anomalous data and hope for your participation in future events. For now, though, this experiment is at a close and you will be recycled. Take care."
Shamus of The Brutes has fulfilled his win conditions!
SpeedySwaf of The Wolves has fulfilled his win conditions!
"Oh, one last thing..." The voice cut in again. "I am sorry, but the Junkyard must be modified for Experiment PHAL02 and thus will be closed for renovations."
Shamus of The Brutes has been eradicated!
SpeedySwaf of The Wolves has been eradicated!
Experiment successful! Karma Temple is victorious!
OK, technically Shamus changed his kill order to Squashua at the last minute, but then Squashua would have killed Neville first anyway, and I already had this written up, and so there it is. :P Technically, though, everyone ganged up on Squashua on the last day and only Squashua ate Neville.
Thanks a lot for participating...it was very helpful.

First, there were no conversions...the anomalies all had their roles from Day One, but I wanted it to be a slow reveal so I only mentioned the other anomalies on Day Two.
Second, Green (Serph) had access to all three skills in the beginning: Agi, Zio, and Bufu and could choose to use one each round. Whatever he used, he became weak to the next day.
JohnHam (Sera) was a guardian and could "Pray" to protect someone from all attacks, but could only use it on the same target twice in a row. JohnHam protected himself on Day One and Green on Day Two. The Sera role had no attack capabilities but was completely impervious to everything except Almighty. She could not be eaten. Using Pray on Green changed his weakness back to Almighty for "attracting the heavens." Also, if Green died, JohnHam would die. They were "linked."
Gnasty (Angel) started off indigestible and was able to Devour any target starting Day Two and on Day Three evolved the ability to cast Almighty, which would only work on another anomalies.
The anomalies' goals were to survive until Day Five with the other anomal(y/ies) dead. They didn't really care about the clans at all, but would have remained in the game eating people if the game lasted longer and they fulfilled their win conditions. That Green had no win condition after JohnHam died was my fault and I would have fixed that but I knew he was dying shortly after that anyway so I didn't bother fixing it...I'll have to make sure there's no one left with no win condition after a specific turn of events next time.
Oh, and Serph and Angel (Green and Gnasty) had Close Call which would allow them to recover from a single, unblocked attack.
Uhm...other than that, there were four three-man clans. Each clan member had a skill and a weakness and all clans could do the same thing (Null-All every even-numbered round) and Analyze every round. Two clans had the same exact weakness and skill combinations, and the other two were identical to each other as well. Also, when a clan was left with only one member, they became "berzerk" which changed their skill to Devour. Devour pierced all elemental weaknesses, but could be blocked by Close Call, Indigestible, Pray, or Null-All.
Oh, also, Gnasty (Angel) had "Change Affinity" which would randomly change his weakness every round. This, coupled with Green (Serph)'s affinity change is why some of you were unable to kill them despite analyzing them.
For the record: "failed" in the narration meant the attack fizzled because the person was not weak to the elemental attack used against them and "blocked" meant that Null-All or Indigestible prevented the attack. All other blocks (Pray and Close Call) were obvious from the narration.
I did fuck up and tell both Green and Gnasty that the narration would not indicate anything but an attack failure if Close Call was used (Close Call was passive, by the way), but after the game was in progress, I had to rebalance that. I feel bad for not communicating that to them beforehand. I hope that didn't change their strategy too much.
And, yes, all roles and clan assignments were completely random. I took the list, wrote a short list of all roles and clans, and then did an integer randomization, linking names up to the roles. Just worked out that way.
Also, Wiggin never sent in an attack Day One. He was dead anyway so I never bothered to mention it, but if you count up all the attacks made on Day One there is one missing considering all the mechanics in play.
I almost killed Tossrock for inactivity, too. Twice. I was going to have a black hole sun eat him with this note:
The Black Sun frowns on Tossrock for his inaction this cycle and has eradicated him.Tossrock of The Wolves has fallen…
Anyway, that's everything. Thoughts? Questions? Complaints? I'd love to hear what you guys thought.

Seriously, and since this is my first time doing one, I'm glad I was able to do as well as I did (even if I was officially eradicated later in the game). I'll be sure to join future phallas after this one.

Neville I don't know anything about Harry Potter but I kind of want to signup anyway
More than welcome to!
Currently slated to have 44 or 48 spots
There won't be any book 7 spoilers.
There will be book 6 info, but if you haven't read that yet, I'm presuming you won't care.
And its about wizards and magic.
That's all you really need to know. :P
I'm in neville. You said the thread is going up sunday?
Yeah, signups will go up sometime Sun, depending on when I get up =p
I can extend the signup #'s a bit if needed.
We'll start Mon or Tues, depending on when the roles all fill up.
I'm finishing my pms and such now so I won't have to do it then.
Drez, I watched this thread, and although I had no idea what the hell was going on at the beginning (much like everyone I figure), I was surprised at how little information was needed to make everything click. Job well done. I'll be sure to sign up for the bigger one.
Great game, I just wish I hadn't died to stray fire so early.
So uh just out of idle curiousity
What was your weakness

Yes, I'm anxious to see if it'll work out as well as I hope.
I can't even ask for feedback from people I would normally, since they all intend on playing.

Hi5, team
Sorry about you getting eaten, Tossrock. Probably should've given you the Null-All the other day.
So...thoughts? Anything you want to know?
