Soth's right, we use stealth
Since we're trying to keep this off the books from C-sec and Ayers, I'm thinking stealth is the way to go.
I'd rather not have Ayers asking us questions like "Why are you helping the gang I sent you to get rid of?".
Again, and just for the record, this has nothing whatsoever to do with my desire to have Keller and Iyander left alone and bored for a good round of truly tasteless dead krogan baby jokes.
Nothing at all.

We use stealth.
Currently Playing:
The Division, Warframe (XB1)
GT: Tanith 6227
You sneak through the church, looking for the altar. You find your way into the central chamber, where High Priestess Annabella Ramsey is conducting some kind of ceremony...

That's wild-eyed lady right there.
But I think that we should see what happens.

If we bust them up well enough, we can make shit up and relay that to our allies. Not like they're in here to refute the claim.
Even if we do wait and see what happens, who's to say our crew would believe us anyway?
(I'm rationalizing from the viewpoint of a renegade-leaning undercover cop on the edge that is also in too deep, as opposed to a player with meta-knowledge about the Reapers and indoctrination.)
I agree with waiting; we might have an inkling that this machine messes with people somehow, but we don't really know how or why. It seems like a thing we'd want to know.
We don't know anything yet, seeing the alter in action will give vital intel. Then we can blow it up and free the brainwashed.

Someone actually seeing the process and (hopefully) not being affected by it is more credible to their bosses than that same person going on Gut Instinct, at least in this case.

Agreed so hard.
Fucking Nazara. That guy was a pain in the ass.
See, that's why we wait. For the red option.
