So the talk about Christine Love's new game has me wondering, does Steam have an official stance on erotic/adult-themed games? Not the creepy hentai game stuff, but like Christine's upcoming adult visual novel type thing. Do they have a hardline ban on adult games? Clearly they let in games like The Witcher and The Wolf Among Us that employ full-frontal nudity, so I'm curious where the line is.
Ah, it stinks, it sucks, it's anthropologically unjust
I don't know about Wolf Among Us as I've never played it, but from what I've seen of Witcher the nudity is limited to the breasts while everything else is kept obscured by shading and positioning, so I don't know if that truly counts as full-frontal.

Well, yeah, Wolf Among Us doesn't show anything more than that either.
But remember, there is a Telltale Game of Thrones game coming.

The Witcher 2 has full frontal female nudity. It's nude city up in there.
@Isorn is evil and forced me to accept keys for Alien Hallway, Alien Shooter, Alien Shooter 2 Reloaded, Zombie Shooter and Zombie Shooter 2 at keyboard point, he threatened to kill a baby windmill if I didn't. So much Alien and Zombies to shoot... thanks... I think...

They've definitely denied games for being too porny on Greenlight. So erotic stuff probably isn't something they're interested in having on the service.

He's even more evil. He tricked me by giving all these bundle keys to other people, and then doing a bait and switch by going out and finding somewhere that had a banner saga key. Thanks @isorn

And @Spoit took offense to that and hit me with LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. Combining two things I am quite fond of. Thank you.
So because steamgifts shat itself for awhile, I wasn't able to put up one more reminder for the giveaway, and it's also stuck in some kinda limbo. It's over, but there is no winner yet. I'll give it an hour or two and see if it fixes itself.
As if @Isorn's first attacks weren't bad enough he has the gall to send me NaissanceE too, which looks awesome and creepy and beautiful and I will love it and hug it and call it Shirley and keep it forever and ever.

Those games are rated by the ESRB with "just" an M, so that's probably why they're available without issue. It's a simple ratings thing. I don't know what Valve's (un)official stance on what constitutes as too an extreme of content, though. If you look at policies of retail stores, though, you'd see many of them won't carry games that are AO and films that are NC-17, but anything up to M or R are fine. (But then they also usually do carry those "unrated" editions of films that may or may not go beyond an an MPAA R, so who the hell knows, right?)

So, Hum, I did some cleaning of things because of my move. I found some old games. Wow, I have 2 copies of FFVII, well kind of. I have two install disks, two disk 2's, two disk 3's. I have no disk 1's??!!?? I have it now on steam thanks to someone, but yikes. I found my doom 3, morrowind + expansions, Baldurs gate, Thief II, Interplay 10 year anthology classic collection (I knew I had bards tale somewhere, Quake 1 and 2, pitgall, halflife, quest for glory anthology, total annihilation, Obsidian, and Descent. Some old games there. Some good ones too. I wish I could just get them all registered on steam.
So, um story, cause I can.
Lara was happen. All ready the tombstone she had uncovered had been viewed by, well she didn't know how many, but it appeared as if a lot. Some lurkers in that museum go uncounted. She was back to the dig site though.

I have started working out in circles in hopes of finding more about the games. The bracket I found on the wall tells me how many tombstones I should find, but I don't know how they put them in the ground.

We found a piece of rock. I'm sure that it is what I'm looking for, but it is to late tonight to finish in this location. I'm making note of direction and distance in hopes there is a system to the madness.

@ Lostninja weakly raised his broken sword one more time to try and block the arcing overhead strike coming his way. With a satisfied grunt @ PrjctD_Captain cleaned his axe and walked off the field.

Which is sad, because the implication is that GTA is more valuable to the culture of the medium than Christine Love's razor sharp writing. But (American) ratings systems in general have always had a real problem when it comes to the grading of violence vs. sexuality.

IndieGala is having a limited "Stress Test Bundle" right now where they're selling all the Alien Shooter and Zombie Shooter games. I've seen these games on sale for years, so today I finally bought it.
I played the first Alien Shooter, and I remember playing this game a very long time ago. It's...pretty bloody if you enable red blood. This is right after I've shot all the aliens in a level:
Woo, I finished Dishonored. The game mechanics definitely got more fun as I got more used to them, and by the end, I was blinking all over the place just to get around. That was great!
The story, on the other hand, was predictable, and somewhat bland. The writing in some parts were especially hard to bare.
So all in all, I'd give it about a B. On to the next item on the backlog!
is it a zombie game that is similar to what we thought Dead Island would be?
As a huge fan of zombie apocalypse games, I can say that State of Decay might be the best zombie apocalypse game I've ever played. It has some technical issues that vex me occasionally (the camera and controls are not ideal, in my opinion) but the gameplay itself is superb.
It does everything, and does it all well.
I started to type up a lot more. Then I saw that @Iolo linked a much more useful post.

i'm back.
Now that Steamgifts is currently working again, I can see that the winner is @Spoit! Congrats!
which is weird. I imagine Rogue Legacy would be a lot more fun with a controller. Yes.

Yay, robots! Thanks @berylline
It does have a game with full frontal nudity that lets you buy and use prostitutes.

My favorite tag that Deus Ex has is "what a shame".
I'll admit I tagged it that, too.
Its the zombie RPG game that I wish more RPG games were like.
