Yoga gets thrown in with Eastern Religion as bad. Not a lot of Christians have a problem with it, but Evangelicals do.

also i hardly doubt it's a "medieval bush"

    is it burning?

maybe we've got a problem then

Maybe it's infested with highwaymen and we need to send in a guard with any caravan.

will you be playing a hedge wizard in this d&d adventure?

Maybe after the caravan is protected we can go after some bushmeat.

    I search the area!

you search what appears to be an ordinary field, though the grass is a little long

as you go to step forward you find that you can't lift your foot, that the ground itself is pulling you down

Yoga isn't a worship practice. If anything you could say that it maybe still has some Hindu roots somewhere, but Hindus don't even worship the sun, so

So my buddy (same one that got the bombastic TV) is struggling with convincing his now GF to shave/trim what he describes as her medieval bush.

    Any suggestions to offer him?

I'm gonna offer a different opinion:

If he likes some grooming down there, he should do this:

    1) examine his preference to be sure he's not just fantasizing about porn pussy, and that he really does prefer it for some actual reason.

    2) speak lovingly and honestly with her about it, talk why he likes it. Explain what makes him hot about that sort of grooming. Be as graphic as his relationship can handle while never, ever being critical or comparing her existing thatch to his preference. If he can express his sexual desire, he might discover she has no objections and she'll do it because he thinks it's sexy. If not, well he's been honest and so has she and that's that.

IMO "grow up" does not mean "delete your own sexual desires". It means talking with somebody about the things you like, and being either grateful for the other person joining you, or accepting that they don't want to.

So my parents thought their 72" TV in the living room was broken and bought a new one.

My and my buddy go over there to set-up the new and my buddy says he will take the broken one to see if he can use it (we suspected it was not really broken).

Sure enough, nothing is wrong. They just had it displaying SD so they thought it was fuzzy and broken.

Now my friend has a fully functioning 72" TV for free.

    Hmmm.

    They're your parents.

Why the fuck don't you have a 72" TV for free

My house is too small for that.

It would look stupid in my living room.

Which is sad but it's the truth.

    -_-

There's no such thing as a tv that's too big.

Still trying to convince my wife to let me remove most of an exterior wall and mount a giant TV into it.

I don't know a ton about light construction but I would guess an exterior wall is both load bearing and contains shit like insulation that you wouldn't want to remove

no prob get a plasma they radiate heat like whoa fyi hth

He should get a plasma regardless if he wants a big screen. LCDs can't hang with 'em with respect to price, picture quality, and basically everything. Somewhat better in bad lighting conditions and use less energy but fuck that noise.

They have an online tool to design your cabinets, then you just go in with your order and they get shipped what they don't already have.

    http://gawker.com/this-weeks-hilarious-college-newspaper-op-ed-calls-yog-1547085952

staff at a christian college wrote an op-ed saying Yoga was Demonic which is what inspired the conversation
This column is not a theological exegesis, but rather a heartfelt cry. I understand that yoga has become an accepted part of the American culture. The National Institute of Health promotes it vigorously and much of the Church has accepted it as harmless. I have to disagree.

As I have been thinking of all the arguments and reasons why yoga is not as beneficial as we've been led to believe, it all keeps coming back to the fact that yoga has its roots in the worship of demonic Hindu gods.

I believe that while yoga may offer some benefits, those benefits have hidden, demonic strings attached. I spoke to one of our chapel speakers years ago about this. He was a Dalit "untouchable" from India who had become a Christian. His view is that yoga is the beautiful face that the very ugly religion of Hinduism uses to sell itself to Americans.
