So, if you guys are interested, MAGFest is doing an event 2 weeks after PAX Prime. The event's called MAGFest 8.5 (being a spiritual successor to MAGFest 8), and it'll be in Alexandria, VA. Basically we're going back to our old hotel for a smaller more relaxed 3 day MAGFest. http://8.5.magfest.org/
I was just talking with a co-worker about going that weekend! I'll double check to see which day we asked off work for, but I am definitely interested in going. A couple of points I feel I should mention: it is the Jousting championship weekend and also the last weekend they are open for the year, so expect a large crowd.
Confirmed that I asked for the 19th off. I shouldn't have a problem getting that day off since my manager already owes me for not being able to get me a day off to go earlier this month. Woo!

I am a beer snob. Although If I'm drinking beer chances are I will not feel like a lan. I tend to be more of a console party game person if I'm drinking.
Alright, so we'll set a Meetup for the MD Renaissance Festival, should be a blast, at the very least cooler (temp) than last year! I have a facebook event set up as well, if anyone wants in on it, just add me there.

I want to come but I have to warn you that the last day of Rennfest is a madhouse. Last time we waited until the last day it took us an hour just to turn around and not go. The traffic clogs all the back roads to the highway.
I intend to leave pretty early and perhaps have a breakfast picnic in the car before opening. I expect it to be crazy, but this is the only opportunity I have to go this year.

I should also put in a plug for Nick, I've already bought tickets and booked a room for MAGFest 13, if you haven't already you should head over and check it out, it's always a very fun weekend (Jan 23-26 @ Nat'l Harbor).
