"Tough luck, my friend, but the answer is 'No'"
"Tough luck, my friend, 'cause the answer's still 'No""
"Tough luck, my friend, but 'No' still means 'No'!"
This means this douche, after telling the dad off and saying he's going to marry his daughter anyway
keeps going back to beg for him to give him his daughters hand
Some would say that was intentional. I actually like the videos more than the songs, with the exception of Simple Plan's. That was just pure trollbait.

finger eleven - Paralyzer (another one where I can't help but love the video, but the song also put them in radio top 40, because it's so different from their previous work) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJk6gZuPKRE

The wife and I went to Hanson live a few years ago, despite the show being cut early due to sickness of 2 of the 3 brothers, this song live was still one of the highlights... http://youtu.be/hK5obmgq6u0
First I liked it. Then I listened to the lyrics and didn't like it. Then I read the meaning behind the lyrics and went back to liking it again. It's been a complicated relationship.
Glad to see Riptide and I Wanna Get Better mentioned. Those two were my favorite songs on the radio for a while, but they've stopped playing them mostly. Right now my current favorite is I'm Only Joking, though i'm not sure if it qualifies as pop music. It's on the radio station I listen to that has all these other songs so i'm going to say it is.
