As a general recommendation, I highly recommend checking out a Persian/Iranian restaraunt if there are any in your area. They make amazing stews and kabobs.

Okay this is a recipe for the most amazing chocolate based drink I have ever tried. My sister-in-law got it while she was in Barcelona.
Castillian Hot Chocolate
Serving Size : 6
Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
1/2 C Cocoa (powdered)
7 teaspoons Cornstarch (cornflour) -- unsweetened
1 C Sugar
4 C Milk
Mix the cocoa and sugar together.
Dissolve the cornstarch (cornflour) in the water and combine with the
cocoa-sugar mixture in a medium-sized saucepan. Stir this until it is a smooth
paste. Begin heating this mixture, continuously stirring it with a whisk.
Gradually pour in the milk. Continue stirring as you bring it to a simmer.
Simmer, stirring often, for about 10 minutes. The cocoa is ready when it
thickens and is glossy and smooth.

awesome, I've been looking for a good hot chocolate recipe for this weekend.
I will probably add a little evaporated milk and a touch of vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of either mint extract or cayenne, but this sounds perfect
I'm also picking up some powdered dark chocolate to mix in with the stnadard cocoa mix to give it a little more oomph

SO THATS HOW THEY DO IT!!!
I had churros y chocolate a couple times when I was in Marbella and it was so thick and delicious perfect for dipping said churros in. I never even thought they thickened it with corn starch... it seems so weird but but so brilliant at the same time. Now I just need to learn to make delicious churros!
PS don't try and shortcut by adding the cornstarch to anything but cool water, you will end up with a lumpy mess.

Goddamn you all.
And this duck is delicious.

Is there anything that wouldn't be better if it was bacon scented?

Dru, whatever you paid for that halibut was far more than I have ever paid for halibut.
Except that one time I chummed, that was payment enough.

it was okay. I got some vegan pizza ("sausage" and spinach, "chicken" and BBQ sauce). It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to write home about
their Peanut Butter Bomb "Cheesecake" was fucking delicious, though

How did I know after only reading the words "Hot dog" "Larry Craig" and "Super Tuber" that it was going to involve a goddamn hotdog fucking a potato?

Also, how much water does the recipe call for?

Fancy night out with the wife and no kid is worth lots of dollars that I would probably otherwise blow on superfluous endeavors anyhow
Fancy night with the wife and a prostitute sounds pretty nice, actually.
You can also add the kid, if that's your thing.
The kid can run the camera
