I agree with the vast majority of that AV Club article
a lot of the carol corps care about KSD's work and fuck all else
which is too bad since KSD's work on that book can best be described as "disappointing"
The reboot has been soundly lackluster at best, but the second trade of the first series(with Monica Rambeau and then Felipe Andrade on art) was really good. I feel like the Carol Corps actually fucked up what was good about the book, the tone shifted slightly and it's not nearly as interesting as it was before Enemy Within.
But whatever the cause, it's just boring right now.
Didn't like her Avengers Assemble, didn't like Pretty Deadly, didn't like either volume of Captain Marvel.
I appreciate that her work has an audience and that she's generated such a following for Carol but I'm also kind of bummed because she's probably gonna be writing her for the forseeable future and I like Carol a bunch and would like to buy her solo book.
Also that article is totally insane and Marvel has gone on the record saying it's female led books have very strong digital sales numbers, more than most of its other titles.
I think Hickman's Carol and Clint are fine, they're just being put in a rough spot, morally, and pretty pissed off about what the Illuminati did.

Remember that Carol was one of the most vocal Supporters of the registration act, militarized superheroing isn't a new concept for her
And Clint "The Avengers' Everyman" Barton being really mad over the Super-Brains hiding the very end of the universe from everyone until they have less than a year left works for me
Captain Marvel's current book is indeed fine and ok, but it's not great. The problem I think is that if you aren't a fan of the character already, there is nothing in there that stands out to pull you into it. I just took it off my pull list a few months ago because I just wasn't excited each month to see it in my folder.

As long as we get hilarity like the buggy scenes in Arkham City, I'm sold.

I jumped in on the next one
oh my god Kurt's 80s hair
I am equal parts glad that they put them in and terrified of them
Yeah, I think he actually looks a little better that Cummings' Nightcrawler. The lighter build suggests Kurt's agility a lot more.
like how can he even hold anything.
fuck you, hollywood
Wow Langly
You can't just ask a mutant how they hold things oh my god
Kurt wants to lose three pounds
Agreed, but that's kind of a prosthetics limit
I wouldn't honestly be that surprised if they're CGI slimmed down a bit in the movie
Dramatization of nightcrawler attempting to dial a phone

They're at least a little slimmer than Alan Cummings' hands. Those things looked like fucking hooves:
yeah i had completely forgotten that.
That would be an incredibly good cosplay
ben affleck is cosplaying batmaan
like he's definitely wearing a costume and playing batman.

This movie is still too ridiculous for me to fully believe it's gonna exist
If they work Mar-Vell into the Captain Marvel movie at all, I hope they use that look.
Is he supposed to be the Spider Supreme?
I have no idea but I love the cape so much
As a side note for anyone in Maine (or NH) - I am pretty excited for this next month - http://www.mainecomicsfestival.com/
