Today's SSSS is spoilered for size and fantasy/monster gore
Well then, this was a fun page to draw. Or paint, rather. But very time consuming! At one point I closed my eyes to rest them for a moment and I actually fell asleep for a couple of hours, sitting up and with the drawing tablet on my lap. x3 It was a good nap, and I'm happy with how spider doggy turned out. Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Judecca is probably my third favorite take on a Purgatory drama, after Haibane Renmei and Hard-Boiled Wonderland And The End Of The World
To be fair Haibane Renmei was partially inspired by Hard-Boiled Wonderland, so that puts Judecca more in like #2.5

A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.
Right, but she moved on to a thing that would kill (well, wouldn't because of safety features but) her!
Like for all you know you have an immunity to like... paralytic effects, but not being fatally electrocuted.
There's no reason to step it up that fast! You can slowly and precisely outline the limits of your abilities in a way that doesn't risk permanent injury.

This comic's from 2004 when the author was a teenager and had a very tenuous grasp on how science worked based on the conversations they had about science in the previous pages. Also it doesn't surprise me they didn't realize that such a safety fuse exists since hair dryers are labeled to hell and back about not submerging them.

Look at how majestic A Redtail's Dream is.
even the characters have stopped getting it
That comic is meta as fuck.
That person is just a stand-in for the audience, since the other character CLEARLY doesn't acknowledge her existence.
I like Hinges but sometimes I have trouble following what's going on
Red Moon Rising is a good comic
Monsterkind is great
